Position Overview
ATLAS SP is searching for a senior compliance professional to lead in implementing and delivering the Firm’s Compliance program. ATLAS SP Compliance is an independent control function, part of the firm’s second line of defense, which assesses the firm’s compliance, regulatory and reputational risk; monitors for compliance with new or amended laws, rules and regulations; designs and implements controls, policies, procedures and training; conducts independent testing; investigates, surveils and monitors for compliance risks and breaches; and leads the firm’s responses to regulatory examinations, audits and inquiries.
The Vice President/Director in the Atlas SP Compliance Department will be responsible for enhancing and developing the Firm’s compliance and testing program as well as serving in an advisory capacity to the Firm’s multiple business teams. This Vice President/Director will report directly to the Head of Compliance and will work closely with other members of the Compliance and Legal teams.
Primary Responsibilities
• Draft policies and procedures that address regulatory frameworks which impact the Firm
• Design and build out a testing program to ensure soundness of compliance program
• Assess live investment opportunities for conflicts of interest, material non-public information concerns, and other regulatory impacts
• Provide advice as needed to Atlas SP business teams on regulatory and compliance matters
Qualification and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree. JD preferred
• 5+ years of experience as a compliance officer at a registered investment adviser. Experience at an alternative investment private fund manager with a focus on private credit is a plus but not required.
• Experience in drafting and implementing compliance policies and procedures
• Self-starter mentality who can take a project from inception to completion while strategically coordinating with multiple business teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
Base Salary Range
$150,000 - $250,000
The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed here.
