Hours per week: 40 hours | Monday – Friday | Hybrid – Tues/Weds/Thurs in office

Internship Program Overview:

Throughout the program, interns develop and grow through a series of experiences such as: 

  • Building business acumen & hands on experience to understand who we are, what we do, and the history of AvidXchange. 
  • Enhance your understanding of emerging technologies, with a focus on backend and AI development, while gaining a unique outlook of how technology drives business results for our customers
  • Establishing relationships with mentors and intern alumni, meeting with senior leaders, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to complete a capstone project. 
  • Volunteer opportunities to give back to the communities where we live and work. 
  • Workshops and learning experiences to learn more about our commitment to creating an inclusive environment where everyone belongs

What you will work on: 

  • Work in small Agile teams with experienced engineers to develop applications throughout their entire life cycle. 
  • Establish open communication with stakeholders, including Product Managers, Quality Test Automation Engineers, fellow Software Engineers, and Development DBA. Transform business requirements into features by collaborating closely with the team. 
  • Troubleshoot, debug and optimize code for optimal performance and security. 
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to review and approve solutions aligned with test cases. 
  • Create code solutions following architectural standards and industry best practices. 
  • Develop unit tests for new and existing solutions. 

What we are looking for: 

  • Expected graduation: December 2025 – May 2026
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in the respective field, or an equivalent degree program such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, AI & Robotics or related major
  • Continued education tech-centric certifications, Boot Camp certificate, or previous internship/apprenticeship 
  • Relevant Coursework, projects, or self-paced learning with a focus on:  
  • Object-oriented Programming Languages 
  • Data Structures and Algorithms 
  • Relational Database Management Systems, 
  • General Coding Logic 
  • Agile 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word 
  • Skills: innovation, communication, problem-solving, strategic thinking, adaptability
