What We Are Looking For:

The Senior Manager, International Payroll & Benefits, is the strategic and operational owner of payroll and benefits delivery for Bandwidth’s international entities across the EMEA and APAC markets. This role is responsible for ensuring legal compliance, system integrity, vendor management, and a best-in-class employee experience, while driving strategic decision-making in partnership with senior leadership.

Working closely with brokers, vendors, legal counsel, Finance, and People Services leaders, this role ensures accurate payroll execution, competitive benefits design, and scalability of operations in alignment with global standards and local requirements.

What You'll Do:

  • Own and lead the end-to-end preparation, review, and delivery of the international monthly payroll cycle — including compliance, data integrity, and timely submission across all EMEA and APAC countries.
  • Serve as the ultimate point of accountability for international payroll and benefits operations, providing expert guidance and insight to the People Services and Senior Leadership teams.
  • Lead global payroll projects, including operational execution of payroll provider transitions, ensuring business continuity, compliance, and alignment with internal systems and teams (e.g., Workday, GL, Treasury, AP, Internal Audit, Tax, etc.).
  • Design and drive strategic benefits programs tailored to each international location, in partnership with brokers and advisors, and lead reviews with the People Services Leadership team.
  • Manage vendor selection, own broker/carrier relationships, and lead contract negotiations and annual renewals across all EMEA and APAC countries.
  • Oversee system integrity and process automation within Workday to support global scalability and reduce manual effort.
  • Partner with internal and external legal counsels to mitigate compliance risks related to payroll and benefits, including in matters of labor law and potential litigation.
  • Oversee all monthly People Services-related invoices for international locations, working closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion and well-being by collaborating with regional Bandmates, leading body/mind/spirit initiatives, and ensuring international employees are aware of and engaged with available company programs.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, providing subject-matter guidance on international payroll, benefits, and compliance to help build team capability and knowledge depth.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or similar concentration
  • +7 years of human resources experience working in Payroll & Benefits
  • Deep knowledge of Human Resources processes, procedures, and practices, and functional knowledge of European employment laws and regulations.
  • Fluent in French and English, Dutch is a plus
  • Able to work in an organized and structured manner
  • Proactive, dynamic, and hands-on approach
  • Ability to work with discretion and maintain confidentiality
  • A creative problem solver, being cool, calm, and collected in your approach
  • Competent in managing multiple projects simultaneously across diverse functions, sites, and countries, and working with a remote manager and team
  • Write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles. Excellent computer, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Work closely with others as part of a team while being able to take full responsibility for a task
  • Happy to work in an international tech company with colleagues all around the globe across multiple time zones

  • Extensive Employee Assistance Programme, offering 24/7 counseling and support on all areas of life (personal and professional).
  • Unlimited, free, and anonymous consultations with our dedicated therapist.
  • Childcare support
  • 100% transportation reimbursed for journeys made by public transport
  • Meal vouchers, eco-vouchers, and gift vouchers
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • 24 days of annual leave per year and 1 additional day every 3 years. (Please note that the Belgian system grants legal holidays proportionally to the time you have served as an employee in Belgium the prior year)
  • Time-Off Embargo. When you take time off (of any kind!) you’re embargoed from working. Bandmates and managers are not allowed to interrupt your time off - not even with email
  • Additional time-off can be earned throughout the year through volunteer hours and Bandwidth challenges
  • “Mahalo moments” program grants additional time off for life’s most important moments like graduations, buying a first home, getting married, wedding anniversaries (every five years), and the birth of a grandchild
  • 90-Minute Workout Lunches, a contribution to your monthly fitness subscription, and unlimited virtual meetings with our very own nutritionist.

Are you excited about the position and its responsibilities, but not sure if you’re 100% qualified? Do you feel you can work to help us crush the mission? If you answered ‘yes’ to both of these questions, we encourage you to apply! You won’t want to miss the opportunity to be a part of the BAND.
