The Elite Athlete Services Representative is responsible for representing and managing a specific territory that consists of several professional and elite amateur hockey leagues, teams, athletes, and team personnel. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Elite Athlete Strategy and Relations, located in Northeastern United States and requires irregular work hours, including weekends.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Manage elite and Professional athletes and teams, and their requirements for product and product servicing.
- Establish relationships directly with professional and prospective athletes. In addition, via agents and family advisors.
- Assist Prospecting Strategy by identifying top prospects that align with Bauer performance and brand expectations.
- Identify and execute opportunities to fulfill Prospecting Strategy, including “Name, Image and Likeness” for both Men and Women.
- Strong understanding of Hockey Landscape, NHL, PWHL, AHL, NCAA, CHL and other elite amateur leagues.
- Provide product feedback to Brand, Custom, and Marketing Team and offer insight on current and future products and marketing opportunities.
- Determine process and approach to manage territory, deliver on objectives, and manage the expectations of the customer. Forecast and prepare travel within assigned territory.
- Manage business plans specific to your territory and or league that require marketing asset selection and forecast on cost and develop strategy to start the presentation and negotiation process.
- Plan, forecast, and prepare tools and samples to execute product and marketing objectives.
- Travel for customer base face time, fittings and events as needed.
Qualifications:
- BS or BA in Communication, Sports Management, or related field- or equivalent years of relevant and related experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in communications/outside sales.
- Required to work irregular hours, including weekends.
- Strong communication skills. (both written and verbal)
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing environment, business landscape and emotion of hockey.
- Understands dynamics of professional and elite amateur hockey.
- Extensive hockey product knowledge.
