Head of Quality and Compliance (f/m/x)

As a Head of Quality and Compliance you will be part of the Quality Team, which includes 8 team members from diverse backgrounds. What makes our team unique is our passion for Products. The goal of the position is to work on improving and assuring the quality of our products. Exciting projects which will come soon are the brand-new launches for coming seasons.  What you will do:  

• Manage and foster a continuous growth culture with our Quality team members in Hong Kong, China and in Europe.
• Ensure our quality processes align with industry standards and evolve according to company goals and needs 
• Manage and oversee our inspection team in China to ensure adherence to top-quality standards 
• Propose and initiate changes, defining Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to enhance quality processes 
• Conduct technical audits at supplier factories, defining Corrective Action Plans and developing roadmaps for quality improvement, following up with Suppliers’ complaint and return cases
• Review and approve inspection reports to uphold exceptional quality across the team 
• Define and implement a clear vision, fostering a positive, team-oriented environment 
• Drive re-engineering and cost reduction initiatives through supplier visits, sample testing, and collaborative brainstorming with Product Managers 
• Manage quality assurance across the product lifecycle, including design, manufacturing, testing, and after-sales support
• Address non-conformities and lead root cause analysis to implement corrective and preventive measures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality considerations are integrated into product development and manufacturing processes
• Stay updated with changes in EU regulations and standards and adapt quality protocols accordingly
• Perform any ad hoc projects as assigned

 

 

 What we are looking for:  

• Degree in electrical (preferable) or mechanical engineering or a comparable professional experience
• Experience within a company environment with physical products, ideally in e-commerce or retail 
• 7+ years of professional experience, ideally in different areas, to demonstrate a broad understanding of the business (e.g. quality management, operations, R&D, sourcing)
• 2+ years demonstrated management and leadership experience 
• Proficient in process optimization, analytical thinking, and implementation 
• Background in Quality Management, including sample testing, QA, audits, and supplier quality management 
• Highly engaged, proactive and hands-on mindset 
• Willingness to travel to suppliers in China mainland to stimulate and train team members 
• Excellent command of English, with exceptional communication skills
