WHY BOX NEEDS YOU?

We’re looking for a talented and passionate engineers to join Notifications team. Our mission is to improve the relevance and reliability of notifications sent to our customers. We are responsible for all emails, push notifications (Android, and iOS), in-app real-time, and Partners (Slack, and Teams) messages sent to Box users while also enabling other Box teams to be able to easily build, monitor, and iterate over their notifications via our internal platform we’re building.

WHO YOU ARE?

• 4+ years of professional software development experience
• Have experience in node.js, Java and knowledge of software design principles
• Assess, communicate and complete project milestones with manager and team members in a time sensitive manner 
• Must speak English proficiently 
• Experience in test automation

WHAT YOU'LL DO?

• Attend and engage in weekly stand ups, team meetings, manager 1:1s.
• Team up with other engineers to foster solid engineering principles and represent our engineering values.
• Utilize both your technical and interpersonal skills to lead large scale projects to completion.
• Collaborate, influence and drive for improvement across scrum teams.
• Model solid engineering practices around architectural design, testability, scalability and maintainability.
• Partner with product managers, designers and other cross-functional stakeholders to align on requirements and understand how your work will impact the business.
• Participate in our on-call rotation, available at all times while on-call to help respond to and triage any issues that arise.

Box lives its values, with community and in-person collaboration being a core part of our culture. Boxers are expected to work from their assigned office a minimum of 3 days per week, with a focus on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
