In this Role
You will play a key role in strengthening the security posture and compliance readiness of cloud-based services built on Azure and Power Platform. This position offers high visibility across a broad division and requires proactive collaboration with engineering and business stakeholders. You’ll lead risk assessments, drive remediation efforts, and build scalable security practices that support both current needs and future growth.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth security and risk assessments for services deployed on Azure and Power Platform.
- Document identified risks in a centralized Risk Register and ensure clear linkage to remediation actions.
- Partner with engineering teams to track, manage, and close risk mitigation items.
- Provide technical guidance and hands-on remediation support, including scheduled office hours.
- Capture, standardize, and publish reusable remediation steps and guidance.
- Analyze security and compliance datasets using tools such as Azure Data Explorer (Kusto) to surface insights and summarize risk impact.
- Leverage automation to improve risk tracking, compliance validation, and remediation workflows.
- Participate in division-wide security and compliance campaigns to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
- Track and manage assigned tasks through Azure DevOps, ensuring timely updates and comprehensive documentation.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering, compliance, or cloud risk management.
- CISSP certification or equivalent (e.g., SANS GIAC).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field OR 5–7 years of equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience with automation and coding skills.
- 5+ years of experience working with Azure, including its security architecture and services.
- 3+ years of experience conducting security assessments, threat modeling, and risk analysis.
- 1+ years of experience in risk management, with working knowledge of frameworks such as NIST CSF v2.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with secure code reviews and static/dynamic analysis tools.
- Hands-on experience securing Power Platform services (e.g., Canvas Apps, Dataverse).
- Familiarity with compliance automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Azure Policy, Microsoft Purview).
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with ability to communicate security concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Track record of being proactive, adaptable, and collaborative with strong work ethic.
Salary Range
Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $51.44 to $56.25 USD/ph. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
