The Position:
BPD is looking for a Senior Social Media Strategist (Paid) to join our growing Digital team. BPD’s Senior Social Media Strategist (Paid) will collaborate with the media team to develop strategic and creative social media recommendations that support overall business and digital goals and objectives. Client success is our ultimate metric, and what drives our mindset, skillset, and company culture.
The Responsibilities:
Includes, but not limited to the following:
Social Media Campaign Management & Execution
- Oversee, execute, QA, and optimize campaigns across all paid social channels, including Meta (Facebook, Instagram), LinkedIn, TikTok, Reddit, X (Twitter), and Pinterest.
- Manage the day-to-day strategy, execution, creative testing, reporting, analysis, and optimization of campaigns with a focus on ROI.
- Monitor campaign pacing, budgets, optimizations, and results to ensure desired outcomes.
- Build and implement paid social advertising strategies informed by client research, competitive analysis, platform evaluation, and audience insights.
Strategic Collaboration
- Collaborate with media planning, media buying, and analytics teams to deliver research-backed campaign strategies that drive client business impact.
- Partner with creative teams to brainstorm innovative social media campaigns and experiment with bidding strategies, creatives, and targeting options.
- Advise in-house and external creative partners on best practices for creating content (video, image, text) aligned with campaign goals.
Reporting & Insights
- Analyze and report on ad and channel performance, suggesting measurable next steps to optimize campaigns.
- Present campaign recaps and insights to clients, ensuring efficient communication of results.
- Leverage knowledge of platform algorithms (e.g., Facebook) to guide strategies for prospecting, retargeting, and lookalike audiences.
- Provide actionable insights to creative teams to enhance campaigns based on performance data.
Platform Expertise & Innovation
- Maintain relationships with social media platform representatives.
- Stay current with trends and opportunities for innovation in paid social, influencer marketing, and emerging platforms beyond Meta and LinkedIn.
- Expand social strategy into new platforms and identify opportunities for growth, including influencer marketing.
- Learn tagging and tracking skills to ensure clients are set up correctly across social media platforms.
Client & Team Support
- Assist in media planning for clients and support business development by selling new social strategies and products.
- Serve as a point of contact for day-to-day client communication and foster strong client, vendor, and platform relationships.
- Identify ways to grow revenue for existing accounts.
The Essentials:
Experience & Expertise
- 6+ years of experience in roles such as Senior Social Strategist, Content Strategist, Brand Manager, Social Media Manager, or similar positions within digital marketing.
- 2+ years of full-time hands-on experience managing Meta, LinkedIn, and Pinterest ad campaigns, with a deep understanding of their platforms, ad formats, and best practices.
- Proven success in leading social strategy for large healthcare brands, with measurable impact.
- Strong expertise in major social platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok) and tools like Asana, Google Analytics, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or Sprinklr.
Strategic & Data-Driven Mindset
- Comprehensive understanding of social platforms, audience behavior, and innovative tools and tactics to drive engagement and performance.
- Ability to analyze data and insights to inform strategies, ensuring every decision aligns with measurable outcomes.
- Experience managing social content calendars, influencer programs, and leveraging user-generated content to grow communities effectively.
Collaboration & Creativity
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with creatives and subject matter experts to turn concepts into impactful campaigns.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for partnering with strategists, creatives, and client service teams to achieve shared goals.
- A desire to innovate and stay ahead of trends while contributing to dynamic, team-oriented projects.
Leadership & Communication
- Proven track record of creating compelling presentations and delivering them confidently to stakeholders.
- A passion for social media with a commitment to staying updated on industry trends and evolving best practices.
