Role - Senior Art Director

Location - Remote until further notice

 

A little bit about the role -

We are seeking a talented Art Director to join our team in Mumbai, supporting a high-profile Fortune 500 financial services account. The role involves creating and delivering high-quality visual assets across various platforms, adhering to brand guidelines while ensuring consistency and quality. You will design and execute integrated projects for marketing collateral, including print and digital deliverables for campaigns and brands. This includes creating materials such as a variety of printed marketing collateral (eg. brochures, resource sheets, posters), invitations, emails, social media and digital banners, signage, and large-scale event collateral like staging, wayfinding, and swag. 

As an Art Director, you must possess an expert-level understanding of design principles, including layout, typography, color theory, and tasteful imagery selectionYour role will involve adapting outside the parameters of existing templates, offering original conceptual thinking. You will provide oversight to junior designers and support the Associate Creative Director in maintaining creative quality and process standards.

What you'll do -

  • Develop original, well-crafted creative concepts for print and digital marketing that meet client briefs and adhere to brand guidelines. 
  • Possesses an expert-level understanding and ability to apply the core principles of design in relation to the use of grid, type, color theory and layout 
  • Interpret briefs with experience and knowledge to solve design challenges creatively. 
  • Provide direction, interpret feedback, and ensure high-quality delivery on time and within budget. 
  • Multitask and prioritize projects based on schedules and client needs. 
  • Present work and articulate creative rationales to colleagues and clients. 
  • Support junior designers and maintain creative standards with the Associate Creative Director. 
  • Support creative oversight for the lifecycle of projects, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery. 

What you need to be great in this role: 

  • 5+ years of experience showcasing impeccable craft, creative concepts, and art direction. 
  • Expert knowledge working within the Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) programs  
    (Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)  
  • Proven ability to translate strategic thinking into compelling designs. 
  • Mastery of design fundamentals: layout, typography, color theory. 
  • Ability to interpret briefs and create world-class visual content. 
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Powerpoint, Excel) 
  • Good understanding of Figma for basic ideation and resource sourcing  
  • Strong grasp of the English language to be able to communicate with global colleagues.  
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Team-oriented with proactive problem-solving abilities. 
  • Self-discipline for organization, focus, and remote collaboration; effective global communication. 
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience)
