Who You Are
We are seeking an experienced and strategic IT Business Solutions Partner to support our General & Administrative (G&A) functions, with a special focus on the People (HR) and Legal teams. In this key role, you will lead the implementation of Workday as our new Human Resource Information System (HRIS), creating a streamlined and effective experience for employees and managers in partnership with our existing payroll system, ADP. ADP will continue as our primary payroll solution post-implementation, requiring seamless integration with Workday.
Beyond Workday, you will also support a suite of critical applications, including Greenhouse (ATS) and legal tools like CounselLink, Dennemeyer, and Gatekeeper. Responsibilities
- Business-IT Partnership and Process Optimization:
- Serve as the primary IT liaison for the People and Legal teams, providing strategic guidance on technology solutions that enhance operational effectiveness and the employee experience.
- Partner with team leaders to identify automation opportunities and process improvements that optimize workflows and maximize efficiency.
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration through workshops and brainstorming sessions, fostering a culture of shared goals and mutual understanding.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive IT roadmap for the People and Legal functions, aligning technological initiatives with business goals and ensuring the timely delivery of projects.
- Project Management and Leadership:
- Lead cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects related to the People and Legal teams, with a focus on the Workday implementation and its integrations with systems such as ADP, Okta, Greenhouse, and others.
- Oversee the end-to-end process of implementing Workday as the new HRIS, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, successful integration with existing systems, and timely delivery within scope, budget, and quality standards.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment, providing mentorship and guidance to team members to support their professional growth and development.
- Monitor project risks and issues related to Workday implementation and system integrations, implementing effective mitigation strategies to ensure the successful completion of the initiative.
Application Management & Support:
- Manage the application lifecycle for People and Legal technology, overseeing the integration and ongoing support of HRIS, payroll (ADP), ATS (Greenhouse), and legal systems (CounselLink, Dennemeyer, Gatekeeper)
- Proactively manage and prioritize support tickets, ensuring timely resolution of issues and continuous improvement of support processes
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to troubleshoot and address system issues, ensuring high system performance, reliability, and user satisfaction
- Continuously review and optimize support processes, identifying opportunities for automation, efficiency, and enhancing the overall support experience for the People and Legal teams
Vendor & Stakeholder Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, including Workday, ADP, and other People and Legal system providers, ensuring clear communication, alignment on goals, and prompt resolution of issues
- Engage regularly with People and Legal stakeholders, including senior management, to understand their requirements and translate them into actionable IT initiatives
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate teams on IT systems, promoting a culture of continuous learning and adoption of best practices
Governance, Compliance, and Data Security:
- Ensure adherence to data privacy, regulatory, and compliance standards across all People and Legal systems, with a particular focus on SOX compliance
- Implement and maintain internal controls to support SOX requirements, including audit trails, data integrity measures, and documentation processes
- Collaborate with IT Security, IT Compliance, and internal audit teams to establish robust data governance practices that protect sensitive employee and legal information

Education, Experience & Skills Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Workday, SOX compliance, project management) is a plus
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in IT Business Partnering, IT Project Management, or a related role, with a focus on supporting G&A, HR, or Legal functions
- Proven track record in implementing HRIS systems, ideally with Workday, and strong familiarity with payroll systems (ADP), ATS, and legal technology solutions (Greenhouse, CounselLink, Dennemeyer, Gatekeeper)
- Hands-on experience ensuring SOX compliance within IT systems, including implementing and maintaining internal controls for audit readiness
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of HRIS and payroll systems, with experience managing Workday and ADP integrations
- Knowledge of data privacy, security standards, and compliance requirements, specifically related to SOX
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, with experience in leading complex, cross-functional projects from inception through completion
- Familiarity with system architecture and integration best practices to drive efficiency and reliability across platforms
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for translating technical requirements into practical solutions for stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of analyzing issues and developing effective, compliant solutions
