Who You Are

Reporting to the Executive Director Corporate FP&A, the Sr Manager FP&A will play a pivotal role in driving the company's financial strategy, financial planning through planning tool system ownership, and supporting decision-making processes at the corporate level as well as supporting the G&A functions (IT, Legal, HR, etc) . This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of BridgeBio. 

Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning and Forecasting:  
    • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for G&A departments, including HR, IT, Legal, Finance, and Facilities
    • Collaborate with department heads to develop financial plans and ensure alignment with overall corporate strategy
    • Prepare and review monthly financial performance reports, identifying key trends, insights, and actionable recommendations for leadership
    • Provide decision support to senior leadership on cost control, resource allocation, and performance improvement for G&A functions
    • Analyze key drivers of cost and performance, highlighting opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings
    • Build business cases for key G&A investments and projects, working closely with functional leaders to prioritize initiatives
  • System Integration and Optimization 
    • Oversee financial systems management, ensuring accurate data flow and reporting from multiple sources (e.g., SAP ERP, Workday Adaptive Planning, Coupa)
    • Work closely with IT and other teams to integrate new systems and improve existing financial reporting capabilities
    • Ensure systems support timely and accurate financial reporting, with a focus on enhancing automation and reducing manual processes
  • Process Improvement & Efficiency: 
    • Identify and implement process improvements within FP&A workflows, reporting structures, and systems integration to enhance efficiency and accuracy
    • Work cross-functionally to streamline financial operations, leveraging automation tools and best practices
  • Strategic Planning and Decision Support:  
    • Partner with senior leadership to develop and refine corporate strategies, providing financial insights and scenario analysis to inform strategic priorities 
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive management, offering strategic guidance and financial expertise to support key business initiatives and investments

Education, Experience & Skills Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with a focus on corporate finance and strategic planning
  • Strong experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, with a deep understanding of industry dynamics and financial drivers
  • Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in forecasting techniques, scenario analysis, and valuation methodologies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex financial concepts into clear and actionable insights
  • Strategic mindset with a results-oriented approach, coupled with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • This position is based at our corporate headquarters in San Francisco, with occasional travel as needed

At BridgeBio, we strive to provide a market-competitive total rewards package, including base pay, an annual performance bonus, company equity, and generous health benefits. Below is the anticipated salary range for candidates for this role who will work in California. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type, and length of experience within the industry, educational background, location of residence and performance during the interview process. BridgeBio is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions based in other states.

$150,000 - $190,000 USD
