Job Purpose:

BTIG’s investment banking group seeks a Vice President in Equity Capital Markets (ECM) Syndicate to help lead the execution of equity and equity linked capital market transactions, including IPOs, follow-on offerings, and private placements. This will include distribution of securities to institutional investors, coordinating with equity sales & trading, and ensuring successful deal completion while maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a collaborative mindset.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in the initial assessment of client needs, structuring of equity and equity linked offerings, and developing deal strategy alongside senior industry and product bankers
  • Create and refine marketing materials, including offering documents and investor presentations to effectively pitch the deal to potential investors
  • Build and manage a syndicate of underwriters, allocating shares or bonds to each participant based on their investor relationships and market capacity
  • Help to determine the pricing of the offering, manage the order book, and oversee the execution process on the trading day 
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the deal process, providing updates and addressing any concerns
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with equity and equity linked transactions, including market volatility & conditions and regulatory compliance

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of experience in Equity Capital Markets, Investment Banking or relevant group
  • Strong understanding of US capital markets
  • Building and maintaining relationships with institutional investors, financial sponsors, and corporate issuers
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Experience in deal structuring, pricing, and execution
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements 
  • Series 7, 79 and 63 preferred

Compensation: 

  • BTIG offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Salary range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, years of applicable experience, skills, qualifications, licensure and certifications, and other business and organization needs.
  • The current estimated base salary range for this role is $225,000 - $250,000 per year. Please note that certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus or overtime.
