Senior Production Planner - Pleasanton, CA

In This Role, You Will:

  • Responsible for the creation of a Master Resource Plan to cover what needs to be produced or purchased as a finished product and to ensure that within the process there are sufficient raw materials and components to support the required supply plan.
  • Responsible for the setting of the correct levels of inventory within the supply plan by understanding the demand volatility and supply chain lead times. Specifically, the creation of a safety stock strategy and plan that enables continuity of product availability at the optimal level of cash investment.
  • Responsible for providing rolling forecast and communicating demand changes to CMs.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining BOM’s and revision of all production part numbers in NetSuite upon ECO releases.
  • Responsible for NetSuite master data, including minimum order quantities, lead times, and purchasing information records. 
  • Responsible for releasing work orders and ensuring timely closure to ensure correct manufacturing cost absorption.
  • Participate in S&OP process, collaborating with cross- functional teams to gather inputs and drive alignment between demand and supply plans.
  • Identify potential supply risks and inventory exposures by reconciling material availability against manufacturing capacity and production plan targets. Develop and drive mitigation plans as necessary
  • Monitor performance to forecast versus actuals and drive corrective actions/mitigation plans.
  • Act as the primary owner and coordinator for inventory management at the 3PL partner.
  • Provide back-up support to Purchasing Department.
  • Perform other duties/special projects as assigned.

Who You Will Report To:

  • Sr. Manager Supply Chain

Requirements:

  • Associate degree or 6+ years of manufacturing/production planning experience required; in a regulated industry a plus.
  • Strong ERP systems and computer software experience (SAP, QAD, NetSuite) - highly preferred.
  • At least 1 year purchasing experience.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Must have advanced level skills in Excel (pivot tables, macros, managing large volumes of data).
  • Must be highly organized and able to balance multiple priorities appropriately.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, patient and diligent.
