Position Description:
Ceribell is seeking a highly motivated and innovative candidate for the role of Vice President/Senior Vice President, Clinical Affairs. This role will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and will be responsible for the strategy, direction and execution of the company’s clinical programs. This is a unique opportunity to be a major contributor to the success of Ceribell and their future growth strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Direct the development of clinical strategies and plans to integrate Ceribell’s technologies into the standard of care across the neurology and acute care settings.
- Provide executive leadership to the Clinical Affairs organization with responsibility for both prospective and retrospective studies and ensuring that all internal processes comply with regulatory standards.
- Orchestrate and manage clinical elements of regulatory strategy and interactions with relevant regulatory authorities.
- Lead a cross-functional team to deliver project plans that include key milestones and activities, and communicate program details, risks, and mitigation to the Executive Leadership Team.
- Build on Ceribell’s existing research and publication strategy that validates the company’s products and services, and forms the basis of marketing claims, and enhances Ceribell’s provider-facing brand.
- Responsible for the strategy, design, and execution of an Advisory/KOL strategy that engages the provider community and successfully recruits them as partners in Ceribell’s mission to improve better health outcomes and reduce the cost of healthcare.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external scientific, technical, and organizational leaders to support clinical and product strategies.
- Represent Ceribell at scientific conferences and with regulatory agencies, investigational meetings, and Advisory Boards where applicable.
Requirements/Qualifications
- 10+ years of management experience leading a clinical group including clinical/medical affairs and clinical operations. Experience as a VP/SVP/CMO in an early stage/growth stage venture or publicly traded medical technology or therapeutics company would be a strong plus.
- Intimately understands population health and value-based care delivery models to serve as the physician thought leader and a subject matter expert across the enterprise to hospital systems.
- Demonstrated experience managing retrospective studies such as medical records and real-world data studies.
- Demonstrated success working with external constituents on reducing cost of care, improving outcomes, etc.
- Knowledge of relevant FDA regulations and guidelines as well as those of the EU (EMA/NHS) and other health authorities; experience in interactions with FDA personnel is essential; experience in interactions with other health authorities is a plus.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of clinical research concepts, practices, and GCP and ICH Guidelines.
- Must have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; should have proven skills as an effective team player who can engender credibility and confidence within and outside the company, with outstanding executive presence
- Must be science and data-driven and action-oriented, have a results-oriented work ethic, and a positive, can-do attitude. Effective leadership, people management, communication skills and a team builder management style are essential; must be willing and able to be “hands on”.
A candidate’s final salary offer will be based on their skills, education, work location and experience, and thus it may differ from the posted range. Compensation may also include bonuses consistent with Ceribell’s corporate compensation plan. Compensation Range
$320,000 - $420,000 USD
