CharterUP is seeking a Senior React Native Software Engineer to join our team in developing a cutting-edge application for our charter bus marketplace. This application will streamline trip management, ticketing, tracking, and customer engagement; providing a seamless experience for users across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in React Native development, with a keen eye for design and a commitment to creating efficient, scalable solutions.
Responsibilities

Design and develop mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms using React Native

Work closely with a global team of React Native developers, backend engineers, UI/UX designers, and product managers to ensure the application meets business goals and user needs

Work with native modules, cloud services and third-party APIs when required to enhance the app’s capabilities and user experience

Develop tooling and processes to support our mobile application development and life-cycle

Create automated testing processes to ensure quality and performance
Experience and Expertise
-
4+ years of experience as a professional React Native engineer with a portfolio of released applications in the App Store and Google Play Store

Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including ES6+ syntax, and TypeScript

Experience with React Native frameworks and libraries

Extensive experience with cloud messaging APIs, location APIs, and push notifications

Understanding of RESTful APIs and web socket integration

Strong understanding of mobile app design guidelines and UI/UX principles

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Comfortable taking ownership end-to-end of deliverables

Portfolio: React Native portfolio showcasing your best work, including links to applications you have developed or contributed to in the App Store and Google Play Store.
Nice to Have:

Experience with payment gateway integration and mobile payment technologies

Knowledge of other cross-platform mobile development frameworks or native development (Swift for iOS, Kotlin/Java for Android)

Industry Experience: Background in transit, on-demand, or logistics, understanding the complexities of these sectors.
