Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic PR Specialist to join our team in Mexico. As a PR Specialist, you will be responsible for planning and executing effective PR strategies to enhance our brand image and drive positive media coverage in Mexico and Colombia. You will play a crucial role in building strong relationships with journalists and media outlets, while effectively communicating new products, partnerships, and C+ level announcements.
Additionally, you will be responsible for developing compelling editorial content, including press releases and media alerts, as well as coordinating various events along with the Marketing team. The ideal candidate is required to have a deep understanding of the media landscape, excellent communication and drafting skills, and a track record of successful thought leadership initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with local journalists and media outlets.
- Coordinate and execute product launches, partnership announcements, and C+ level communications.
- Create engaging and informative editorial content, including press releases, media alerts, and other PR materials.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather information and insights for PR campaigns.
- Handle day-to-day media relations, including responding to media inquiries and organizing interviews.
- Identify and secure opportunities for thought leadership initiatives, including speaking engagements and bylined articles.
- Coordinate and manage various events, including press conferences, media briefings, and industry conferences.
- Monitor and analyze media coverage to assess the effectiveness of PR strategies and make recommendations for improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitors’ activities, and media landscape changes.
- Develop and implement (when/ if needed) effective crisis management plans.
- Implement media training programs to fortify Clara's spokespeople in their interactions with the press, thereby amplifying media exposure.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in planning and executing successful PR strategies.
- Strong local knowledge of the media landscape and established relationships with journalists.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in english and spanish, with the ability to create compelling content.
- Demonstrated experience in communicating new products, partnerships, and C+ level announcements.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Experience in thought leadership initiatives, such as securing speaking engagements and writing bylined articles.
- Proficiency in media monitoring and analysis tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Fluent English level.

- Prior experience with startups is a plus.
