What You’ll Be Doing

Strategic Communications: Work with leaders across Cleo globally to prioritise, align and deliver communications about our most important strategic initiatives to ensure Cleople are informed, engaged, and inspired.

Leadership Alignment: Collaborate closely with senior leadership with divergent perspectives to discuss key issues and work behind the scenes to resolve disagreements, influence outcomes, and enable leader success.

Strategic Planning: Partner with teams developing and executing the company’s strategic vision, helping them translate it into comprehensive communications plans.

Cross-Functional Leadership: Take major initiatives off the Founder’s plate and lead them cross-functionally end-to-end.

Leadership Team Coordination: Bring the leadership team together and run team meetings in lieu of the CEO (prepare the agenda, take notes, assign action items, follow up, and hold owners accountable for rolling out key initiatives and decisions).
A Day in the Life of a Chief of Staff at Cleo

Fixing Problem Areas: Identifying and resolving problem areas across departments. If something doesn’t work, you fix it.

Driving Special Projects: Leading process improvements, large change programs, and major initiatives that shape the company’s future.

Performance Monitoring: Tracking and monitoring department-level performance to ensure alignment with Cleo’s strategic goals.
We’re looking for a rare Chief of Staff that has exceptional people, leadership, and numerical skills. Here’s what we’re looking for:

Experience: 6+ years of proven experience executing and leading in fast-changing, high-growth organisations (ideally in tech).

Leadership & Problem Solving: Be a compassionate leader and a structured problem solver and operator, comfortable working with complexity and agility.

Communication Skills: Experience of (or adjacency to) internal communications processes with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Influence & Leadership: A strong leader capable of successfully influencing and leading multiple large cross-functional teams.

Organisational Skills: A doer who is extremely organised and diligent.

Career Ambitions: A next step for you will likely be to found a company, run a division of a company, or take up a principal position at a top-tier VC firm.
Ideal Backgrounds:

Tier 1 Investment Banks (e.g., JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley) or Consulting (McKinsey, BCG, Bain)

Scrappier routes, via successful tech startups in strategy and operations roles will also be considered!
Educational Requirements: Exceptional academics are a hard requirement. A first-class degree from a top university is expected at this level.
