Adult Primary Clinical Therapist
As a Primary Therapist, you’ll work thoughtfully with our patients to develop and implement their individualized treatment plans. This role will consist of conducting individual therapy meetings, collaborating with patients’ outpatient teams, and leading patients through their overall treatment program. You’ll partner closely with the entirety of our treatment teams, including Group Therapists, Family Therapists, and Prescribers to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care.
Our location in Northbrook is our first and largest facility, and consists not only of our widest variety of programs, but also serves as a pilot site for many of our new treatment offerings.
What You’ll Do
Utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as other evidence-based therapies
Meet with patients individually to assess progress and guide treatment planning
Coordinate care with patients’ individual providers to ensure continuity of care
Assess patients’ progress and need for higher level of care or discharge
Communicate with patients’ family members or support system when indicated
Complete initial intake evaluations to determine diagnosis and appropriateness for program
Chart in our electronic medical records system
Engage in crisis management as part of a treatment team
Provide group therapy, as needed
Other duties, as assigned
Who You Are
Hold or be eligible for one of the following licensures: LSW, LPC, LCSW, LCPC, MSW, AMFT, LMFT, PsyD, or PhD
Have 2 + years of post-Master’s clinical experience (preferred)
Possess a core skill set of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Have experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma and/or trauma related stressors (preferred)
Have experience with patients in crisis, and a strong passion for working within high acuity environments (preferred)

This interdisciplinary team of trailblazers will build our adolescent, and adult programs from the ground up alongside the leadership of well-established clinicians, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and nurses working in PHP/IOP behavioral health care for the past decade.
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team. In partnership with the rest of the Silver Spring team, you will play a key role in building and shaping a strong culture at the location.
*The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday 10am-6pm.*
What You’ll Do:
Medication administration
Nursing Assessments
Measuring & recording vitals
Phone triage
Performing basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies.
Maintaining medication inventory
Provide health, wellness, and medication education.
Assessment and medical care of illnesses, injuries, and potential side effects.
management of special health care needs, including but not limited to asthma, diabetes, and allergies.
Responsible for infection control and prevention measures.
Abides by compliance standards of care and supports the evaluation of care provided.
Coordination of care with outpatient providers.
Recording patient history and medical findings.
Assisting providers with writing laboratory orders and retrieving results.
Assisting with the completion of medical documentation for patients and their families.
Coordinating with insurance companies for medication and diagnostic prior authorizations.
Assisting providers with prescription refills.
Specimen collection
Provide support & assistance to the organization’s committees.
Provide support and assistance during crisis or emergency situations.
Perform other duties as requested
Who You Are:
Hold a BSN degree (preferred), Associates Degree (required)
Registered Nurse with current licensure to practice in Maryland.
Are certified in Healthcare Provider CPR.
Have a minimum of 1 year of Hospital Experience (preferred).
Mental health experience (preferred).
Possess excellent therapeutic communication skills.
Frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach forward with hands and arms.
Often required to sit and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Intake Therapist

This interdisciplinary team of trailblazers will build our child, adolescent, and adult programs from the ground up alongside the leadership of well-established clinicians and doctors working in PHP/IOP behavioral health care for the past decade.
As we prepare to open our Golden Valley facility, we are seeking an Intake Therapist to help guide our patients in taking their first steps towards healing. If you are passionate about supporting patients through a fundamental part of their personal journey here at Compass, while being an expert on compatible programs and resources, you would be a great addition to our team.
*Note that this position is slated to start in September, and will receive ~10 weeks of comprehensive training prior to seeing patients.
What You'll Do:
Complete initial intake evaluation to determine diagnosis and appropriateness of program
Interface with program directors during intake process regarding patient appropriateness for programming
Work with patients and families regarding appropriate referrals if treatment at Compass Health Center is not indicated during intake
Screen potential intakes and answer questions from families, providers, and potential patients
Chart and communicate with our utilization review department regarding initial insurance authorizations
Facilitate group therapy and family therapy, as needed (e.g., when intake census is lower, intake therapist may be requested to assist with proving coverage leading groups or covering family therapy sessions)
Participate in professional development activities
Who You Are:
Are a Psychologist or Master’s level clinician with 1+ years of clinical experience conducting intake assessments and individual therapy
Hold the following licenses or certifications: LPC, LSW, PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT
Have knowledge and experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as other empirically supported treatments
Have previous experience with patients in crisis
Have worked in a PHP/IOP, residential, or inpatient setting
