About the Role & Team:

  • As a Technical Product Manager Co-op you will help contribute to the technical landscape of our growing architecture
  • You will have an opportunity to help grow technical initiatives focused on improving end user experience, as well as initiatives that will harden the reliability and scalability of our internal Backoffice application
  • You will get to work alongside top developers to bring new cutting edge technologies to the team

About the Work:

As a member of our Technical Product Management team you will:

  • Work with Senior TPMs and developers to discover initiatives that will improve Backoffice user productivity and the performance of our Backoffice application
  • Contribute to the vision, strategy, prioritization and execution of technical initiatives on the Backoffice team 
  • Manage day-to-day product development operations via Kanban, Jira and Confluence 
  • Author and contribute to technical product specifications for Backoffice roadmap initiatives, as well as help break down specifications into actionable stories for the team to refine, estimate, and deliver
  • Create documentation on roadmap initiatives, end-user guides, as well as how the team operates
  • Other duties as required

About You:

  • Desire to learn product owner skills to be able to work with technical stakeholders to gather requirements, manage backlogs, and prioritize initiatives.
  • Working towards a technical educational background in Computer Science, Business, IT, or related field.
  • Outstanding written/oral, organizational, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Must be a self-starter, a team player, and driven.
  • Nice to haves:
    • Experience working with engineering teams on technical initiatives is a big plus.
    • Previous co-op, start-up, consumer mobile and/or consulting experience is a strong asset.
    • Experience with monitoring tools like DataDog, Splunk and Prometheus.
    • Comfortable testing and troubleshooting backend application services.
