About the Team:
The Web Platform team’s mission is to provide front end developers an environment that will enable them to create world class web applications. We’ll be solving organization wide engineering problems across three domains: performance, reliability and developer experience. You’ll be working with a group of talented and friendly individuals. We’re also a team that enjoys learning and sharing knowledge. We like to keep our documentation up to date and take time out of our day to learn new technologies. We’d hope that working with our team you’ll help drive our infrastructure to greater heights.
About the Role:
As a key member of our Web team you will:
- Working with our preferred technology stack: Typescript, React, tailwindcss, Testing Library, Apollo, zustand.
- Work with Product Management, Design and Backend services to iterate on new features.
- Help identify areas of improvements within our code base and help to make it better.
- Have the opportunity to learn, collaborate and teach with other members of the team.
- Participate in the design, architecture, and delivery of new features in a collaborative agile/scrum environment.
- Use app monitoring tools to help create a better user experience.
- Write tests for each feature and bug you complete. Testing is important on our team.
- Help create performant and accessible web applications.
- Other duties as required.
About You:
- A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, distributed systems, algorithms and software design.
- Passionate about clean code architecture and software craftsmanship.
- Experience with a modern web framework and consuming APIs.
- Experience with Git and GitHub or similar.
- A solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and TypeScript.
- A solid understanding of working with the browser (Document, Events, Interfaces).
- Love to learn new technologies and share them with others.
- Proficiency within an editor of your choice.
- Experience with writing automated tests (Jest, Jasmine, Cypress, Playwright).
- Always trying to understand why things happen at a deeper level.
- Consuming and integrating with third party APIs.
- NICE TO HAVE: React, consuming GraphQL APIs, JavaScript SSR, knowledge of browser security (HTTPS, CORS, CSP, etc), contribution to open source software, experience working at startups, passion for sports and/or esports.
