Asset Manager

The Asset Manager is responsible for managing, uploading, cataloguing, and protecting the digital assets within Critical Mass' production team. They work alongside the ArtBot production and post-production teams to ensure all digital assets are catalogued and accounted for. This includes assets such as camera original content (photos and video), client supplied content (photos, video, logos, fonts etc.), stock assets (photos, videos or templates), working files (Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, etc.), documents (contracts, licenses, etc.) and final deliverables. 

As an Asset Manager, you will have a close working collaboration with our Content Producers, Design Supervisions, IT, and Project Managers. You will work alongside the Quality Control team and report directly to the Quality Control Lead. This role requires someone with technical production and file knowledge, with meticulous organizational skills. You are passionate about process and have a solution-oriented mindset in service of seamless production asset workflows and working alongside a busy team.


You Will:

  • Intake digital assets (still images, videos, audio, documents, files for DCO, working files, final deliverables etc.) from internal and external agencies
  • Organization of digital assets within a system (DAM, Server, Box etc.)
  • Create and tag metadata for tracking assets and search-ability
  • Create and document metadata schema
  • Create and host a final QA handoff meeting to review the final deliverable before uploading to the clients DAM or server.
  • Conduct onboarding and ongoing training for employees within a DAM
  • Ensure assets are correctly uploaded and tagged
  • Manage asset expirations and permissions within a DAM
  • Help search and find assets for other team members
  • Assess asset workflows and identifying areas for improvement
  • Create process documentation and training manuals
  • Manage employee and contractors’ access to specific assets
  • Prepare and organizing digital content for external sharing
  • Database creation to establish templates for housing information
  • Consult on how API integrations should function and developing surrounding workflows
  • Create databases and establish templates for asset use
  • Bring new ideas and innovation to the workstream in service of continuous improvement of the process.
