Job Description
CSCI is searching for a Compliance Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a DoD client. The Compliance SME provides expert-level support, in-depth analysis, and advanced research into exceptionally complex problems and business processes related to financial, audit, security, and regulatory compliance. This position plays a critical role on executive-level project teams, serving as a technical authority in compliance matters and offering strategic direction, interpretive guidance, and innovative alternatives to drive successful project outcomes. The SME applies advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts to develop and implement compliance solutions in high-impact, high-visibility environments, particularly in support of Department of Defense (DoD) or Federal Oracle Shared Service Providers operating on Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12.2 or higher. The role involves working independently under consultative direction, often initiating assignments and determining the best course of action to meet long-term organizational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert compliance support and subject matter expertise for complex business and technical challenges
- Serve as a technical advisor on executive-level teams, guiding interpretation of compliance requirements and development of innovative solutions
- Apply deep knowledge in functional areas such as finance, accounting, logistics, audit, configuration management, or operations research to support IT and business alignment
- Develop and implement advanced compliance solutions addressing audit readiness, financial integrity, security, and internal controls
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify risks and propose mitigation strategies in accordance with applicable federal laws, regulations, and policies
- Guide the transformation of compliance strategies into actionable technical solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
- Communicate clearly and effectively in both oral and written forms, often preparing executive-level briefings and reports
- Work under minimal supervision, initiating tasks and driving projects to successful completion
Minimum Requirements
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in compliance, audit, or a related functional area.
- Demonstrated experience supporting DoD or Federal Oracle Shared Service Providers.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12.2 or higher.
- Strong understanding of federal financial management, audit readiness, security compliance, and internal controls.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

- Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
- Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
- Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
- Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
- Past experience working with a federal agency
- Department of Defense experience is a plus!
