Job Description
CSCI is seeking a highly experienced Infrastructure Application and Database Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide advanced technical leadership, strategic guidance, and hands-on expertise in support of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Financial ERP systems and related infrastructure. This senior-level role is ideal for candidates with deep Oracle EBS experience and strong command of enterprise application architecture, database administration, and performance tuning in complex DoD or Federal environments. As a Lead SME, you will serve on executive-level project teams, offering technical direction, critical analysis, and innovative solutions to exceptionally complex challenges. You will contribute to the design, integration, and optimization of high-availability enterprise systems, while ensuring compliance, quality, and timely delivery of all technical documentation and project deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level support and analysis for complex infrastructure, application, and database issues within Oracle EBS R12.2 environments
- Administer and troubleshoot a range of Oracle technologies, including:
- Oracle EBS Financial ERP
- Oracle Database (with Real Application Clusters and Active Data Guard)
- Oracle SOA, SSO/Oracle Access Manager (OAM), OBIEE, Hyperion
- Oracle EDQ, UPK, and GRC tools
- Design, implement, and maintain Oracle RAC, GoldenGate replication, and database performance tuning strategies
- Serve as a technical authority on project teams, providing leadership on solution architecture, risk analysis, system integration, and functional alignment
- Produce high-quality technical documentation, reports, and deliverables to meet contractual timelines and government standards
- Think independently and demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical content to non-technical stakeholders
- Apply advanced principles and contribute to the development of new concepts and standards that support enterprise transformation and modernization efforts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient infrastructure supporting mission-critical business applications
Minimum Requirements
- Ten (10) years of relevant experience in infrastructure, application, and database support
- Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
- Proven experience supporting DoD or Federal Oracle shared service providers on Oracle EBS R12.2 or higher
- Extensive experience administering Oracle enterprise tools and components listed above
- Demonstrated expertise in Oracle RAC, GoldenGate, Data Guard, and database performance tuning
- Strong technical writing skills and ability to deliver high-quality documentation
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to develop highly innovative solutions
- Strong command of the English language with excellent written and oral communication skills
- DoD 8570.01-M Certification: DFARS 252.239-7001 Information Assurance Contractor Training and Certification is required for this position
- IA Technical (IAT)/IA Management (IAM) Level: IAT Level II (e.g., Security+, CEH, SSCP)
- Oracle based - CE/Operating System Certification
- Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving
- Ability to work with clients to understand their needs
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional presence
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in secure environments with sensitive data
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for advising users and collaborating with IT teams
- Knowledge of compliance standards related to data storage and access (e.g., HIPAA, FISMA, or similar)
- Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
- Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
- Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
- Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
- Past experience working with a federal agency
- Department of Defense experience is a plus!
