As Director, Compensation and a key leader within the Total Rewards team, you will play an integral part in the design, management, and execution of the compensation and equity plans to Dataiku’s employees worldwide. You will lead and set strategic vision for our compensation and equity plans. In this role, you will provide direct support to and partner with key stakeholders within the business and within in our Finance, Legal and People teams. You will help to deliver a best in class Total Rewards program to our employees, help our employees understand the value of their total compensation so that they can focus on what is important - their work and impact to the company. What you'll do:

  • Manage global rewards cycles including merit, bonus, LTI and promotion; conduct global merit budget and economic analysis working with each country to establish final merit budget; conducts appropriate modeling including the creation of merit matrices; provides global tools and manage global reporting
  • Understand the complexity of business on a global scale; embrace cultural and individual differences; and work with the nuances of specific local cultures to make informed, impactful compensation design decisions
  • Manage deep analysis on effectiveness and competitiveness of existing reward programs and model potential impact of alternatives
  • Manage global salary survey selection and appropriate use of market data; drives well-managed local benchmarking efforts, including strategy and methodology, survey selection, special studies, market intelligence, etc. 
  • Prepare compensation and equity summary for executives to include new equity grants from new hires, refresh and promotions as well as forecasted budget for compensation
  • Accurately track and maintain electronic systems and profiles through our respective 
  • Ensure global equity and compensation reporting and compliance in conjunction with Tax, HR and Finance partners to ensure international tax and regulatory compliance
  • Reconcile transactions, termination dates, tax withholding and reporting, and other items as required. Reconcile cash and shares related to equity transactions along with our stock plan administration team.
  • Prepare annual reporting and support transactions (funding rounds, IPO, etc.)
  • Conduct quarterly reviews, year-end audits, as well as ensure that internal controls and procedures are followed. Ad hoc reports for Finance, HR, Legal and Payroll, as needed
  • Assist in preparation of executive compensation-related materials for Compensation Committee and Board of Directors meetings, as needed
  • In partnership with HR and Finance, establish compensation budgets and guidelines for global locations
  • Manage a team of compensation professionals
  • Keeps abreast of global market trends
  • Perform other duties and ad hoc projects and reporting as requested

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
  • 8+ years of progressive compensation and equity design experience in a global company
  • Technology industry experience strongly preferred
  • Workday experience required
  • CCP or CEP preferred
  • Able to work independently and in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Must be self-motivated, flexible, deadline-oriented and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Experience researching, designing, and implementing both compensation and equity programs. Strategic benchmarking to like industries.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with high initiative, flexibility, and team approach to work
  • Acute attention to detail and well-developed organization and time management skills 
  • Strong customer service focus and flexibility. 
  • Comfortable in a fast paced and casual working environment.
  • Manage highly confidential information with professionalism and unquestionable integrity.
  • Exceptional written communication and presentation skills
Compensation and Benefits

The final compensation package for this role will be determined during the interview process and is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, internal equity, education, skill set, experience and training. Eligible roles may also be entitled to receive commission or other variable compensation through Dataiku's incentive compensation program.

US only national base pay ranges

$175,000 - $200,000 USD
