
Senior Legal Counsel (fixed-term contract)

Dataiku is hiring a Senior Legal Counsel to be based in London or Paris, who will support the go-to-market activities in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa regions. We are looking for a self-starter and solution-oriented team player who is excited to become a trusted advisor to our business. The Legal & Compliance team consists of individuals with diverse backgrounds currently located throughout the United States, France, the United Kingdom, and Singapore. We are a strategic partner for Dataiku's day-to-day business and are passionate about supporting the growth of our company.
This position is a fixed-term contract and will report to the Director, Legal, based in London.
Responsibilities:
- Provide practical guidance to Dataiku’s go-to-market teams to drive rapid revenue growth across EMEA.
- Review and negotiate enterprise software license and SaaS agreements, partner agreements, and various other agreements supporting go-to-market and procurement activities and company expansion.
- Work closely with Dataiku’s teams, including Finance, Marketing, Procurement, Customer, and Compliance globally on projects and develop policies and procedures to help the company scale.
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external clients and peers.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned, as needed to support the business needs.
Requirements:
- 6 + years of relevant legal experience and a proven understanding of commercial contracting in the context of SaaS and enterprise software licensing transactions.
- Excellent oral and written skills in English and French.
- Qualified to practice in either England and Wales or France.
- Able to work cross-functionally, effectively communicate complex issues to business stakeholders.
- Highly organized, experienced with managing numerous deals or projects simultaneously, and able to adapt to shifting priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous in-house experience at a technology and/or international company preferred.
- Familiarity with data protection law and other privacy regimes is a plus, preferably in a technology context.
- Fluency in German would be a plus.
