We aim to amplify these motions, bring more focus to high priority market segments, and boost Dataiku’s attractiveness through deep industry and domain understanding combined with platform-embedded solutions to accelerate relevance and value.
Within the Business Solutions team, the Head of Industry Solutions plays the critical role of owning the identification of priority sectors and working towards continuously enhancing Dataiku’s integration of industry specificities into its GTM and Product strategy with three objectives:
- Sales efficiency (new logo acquisition, accelerated value and growth)
- Target Addressable Market extension to new personas in the AI building and consumption cycle
- Development of ancillary revenue sources through product extensions
This role reports into the SVP of Product and Solutions, manages the team of Industry Solution Experts (12 staff members, 10 to 15+ years of experience on average, from different industries) , and works cross functionally with leads of different field facing teams (AEs, SEs, BDRs, SEs, …).
How you’ll make an impact
- Dataiku Industry and Domain strategic vision;
Develop Industry Metrics and quarterly industry insights (SWOT, strategic vision, …)
Identify replicable patterns and strategic bets through bottom up and research. Fuel insights into territory planning and whitespacing
- Industry Motions Orchestration:
Establish a strong partnership with GTM Leads and develop a deep understanding of how to support high impact industry outcome motions in their activities. The Head of Industry Solutions will attend all Continental QBRs and run the appropriate action plans with regional leads.
Lead industry and domain focused programs in tight collaboration with GTM counterparts. Drive all required work towards the development of effective use-case acquisition programs with an initial focus on (1) Marketing & Sales Analytics, (2) Operations (Manufacturing and Supply), and (3) Finance teams. The Head of Industry Solutions will own a global target per program and will be in charge of maximising SME field impact.
Own the creation and maintenance of differentiating industry and domain contents, including: Putting in place the right library of internal and external facing assets to accelerate GTM velocity, from on-boarding to actual customer facing activities and Leading the development of industry communities across Dataiku
Develop and support the appropriate plan with Marketing (PG drop, industry events, …)
- Solutions Partnerships:
Own the development of the Solutions partnerships strategy. Identify priorities, manage the funnel of partner candidates and develop the appropriate offers, objectives and action plans along with the Global Product Team.
Define and manage a framework which can scale across all Solutions activities.
- Solution Development:
Actively work with the VP of Engineering of Solutions and Applications and his team to define the quarterly roadmap and organize Industry Solutions Experts team work towards it.
Support deep understanding of industry range impact, priority needs, and steer Industry Experts towards accelerated impact of the Solution range, including the development of thorough persona vision.
- Team management and Processes:
Manage recruitment and management of Industry Experts combining deep industry processes and applied AI understanding.
Coach the team towards differentiating field engagements, asset creation and solution range development (solution scoping, solution testing pre-delivery, solution assets).
Own the processes to monitor Industry Solution team field requests and impact within the framework of broader Product activities.
- Executive Engagement:
Be a key spokesperson for Dataiku, support high impact executive engagements in pre- and post-sales, incl. combined Product and Solutions engagements.
What you’ll need to be successful
- 15 to 20 years of experience in data and technology or in business management, with a solid track record in understanding new technologies, operational imperatives, and putting data at work (Analytics, ML, Gen AI, …). The ideal candidate has experience as an Executive within a large organization (Chief Operating Officer, Chief Transformation Officer or equivalent) or an Industry Lead role within a user-focused fast scaling Technology provider.
- Established capacity to lead and deliver, curious of all industries and domains, eager to bridge the gap between technologies and usage.
- Excellent managerial skillset, capable of managing managers of managers (Director + level). Proven track road in establishing transformative relationships with internal and external counterparts globally.
- Outstanding communication abilities, passionate about developing differentiating written assets. Extremely quick at producing very strong written material autonomously and at replicating work across sub-teams. Strong Marketing and Product Marketing orientation.
- Proven experience in driving tech/product development anchored activities. Can steer teams on scoping, qualification, and development of AI solutions.
- Based in the US, East Coast, at or close to a Dataiku office, able to travel worldwide frequently (20%). #LI-Hybrid
The final compensation package for this role will be determined during the interview process and is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, internal equity, education, skill set, experience and training. Eligible roles may also be entitled to receive commission or other variable compensation through Dataiku's incentive compensation program.
