The opportunity:

Enterprises are shifting from using data for insight to deploying AI for continuous, high-stakes operational decisions. In many core functions, such as manufacturing operation, supply chain, and financial risk, decision logic has long escaped core systems into fragile custom code and manual processes. Agentic AI intensifies the pressure to change — but also exposes the limits of existing architectures: agent sprawl, rising costs, governance risk. Adding agents on top of legacy workflows does not scale.

This creates a new category above agents: Reasoning Systems — domain-specific, end-to-end decision processes that orchestrate data, models, rules, agents, and human judgment around explicit business workflows. Dataiku is uniquely positioned to lead it: already embedded at the data and ML layer of complex, regulated environments, operating as an open control plane across systems, clouds, and AI stacks.

The role

Dataiku is hiring a VP of Reasoning Systems to scale this business unit based on newly released products. This is a function across Strategy, Product, Marketing, Sales, and Operations. You will define the category, design the go-to-market and delivery model, and run the business with full accountability for growth.

Directly, you will lead a team of 10+ seasoned Industry Solutions leaders— domain experts already embedded with customers across manufacturing, supply chain, and financial risk. Indirectly, you will benefit and leverage the exceptional talent in Dataiku data science, AI Engineering, and Software Engineering teams to build the best product and customer experience.

Given the long term perspective we associate with this activity you will report to the Product organization, with significant direct work with the CEO of the company, and other C-level executives.

What you will do:

  • Define the category

Own Dataiku's Reasoning Systems vision, positioning, and narrative — internally and with customers, analysts, and the market.

Set vertical priorities (Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain, Financial Risk first) and the framework for expanding to new domains.

Be the external face of the category: executive briefings, keynotes, analyst engagements.

  • Lead the Go-To-Market

Design the pilot-to-system commercial model: time-boxed pilots with upfront conversion criteria tied to production pricing.

Define the buyer profile (CIO, COO, Domain Leaders), funding sources, sales plays, and qualification criteria. Launch with existing customers; expand once repeatability is proven.

  • Build the Delivery Model

Define the engagement model combining productized orchestration, governance, and human-in-the-loop control with structured services generating repeatable, scalable assets, not bespoke consulting. Leverage capacity from our vast pool of  engineering and services talent.

  • Drive the Product Roadmap

Partner Product and Engineering to deliver the Reasoning Systems product layer: process orchestration, activity controls, evaluation frameworks, governance tooling, and human-in-the-loop oversight.

  • Manage and grow the Team

Lead a team of 10+ Industry Solutions leaders and AI Solutions Consultants — seasoned domain experts across the target verticals.

Set team structure, staffing plans, and skill roadmap aligned to strategic priorities. Create the conditions for each person to do their best work.

Build a product management mindset across the team: every engagement should produce something reusable.

  • Engage at the Executive level

Lead key customer executives conversations to drive opportunities and high impact transformation delivery Engage with market events to forge awareness and thought leadership on reasoning systems

  • Own the Business

Own Reasoning Systems revenue, costs and growth targets. Reasoning Systems is a global multi-billion opportunity in enterprise transformation, and you have the task to create a new pillar of the company business.

Who you are :

  • You operate at C-suite level and can drive decision-making on high-stakes, ambiguous programs.
  • You are a doer: as comfortable going deep on a deal or a delivery challenge as you are setting strategy.
  • 20+ years at the intersection of business process transformation and enterprise technology — you understand what real operational AI deployment looks like for the largest, most demanding companies in the world.
  • You have built and scaled a new business, product line, or category at a technology company. You know how to go from zero to repeatability.
  • You have led a consulting or solutions delivery activity and understand the discipline required to balance services delivery with product scalability.
  • You have driven software product roadmaps and understand what it takes to ship ambitious, multi-stakeholder technology programs.
  • Outstanding communicator — able to shape and deliver compelling narratives to technical and business audiences alike.
Compensation and Benefits

The final compensation package for this role will be determined during the interview process and is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, internal equity, education, skill set, experience and training. Eligible roles may also be entitled to receive commission or other variable compensation through Dataiku's incentive compensation program.

Dataiku also offers comprehensive benefits, including stock options, medical, dental, and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, pre-tax commuter benefits, a 401k company match, paid vacations and sick leave, paid parental leave, employer paid disability coverage, and additional health and wellbeing perks and benefits. Form CC-305
Page 1 of 1
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
