About the Role
As the leader of the North America Commercial Solutions Architecture team, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we bring our products to life for customers. This role sits at the intersection of product, sales, and customer success—driving strategy, guiding a high-performing team, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver technical solutions that align with market needs. You’ll be responsible for leading and growing a talented team of Solutions Architects, driving revenue through technical excellence, and evolving our go-to-market playbooks. What You'll Do
- Lead and manage the Solutions Architecture team for the Commercial segment in North America
- Collaborate closely with the product teams to align technical solutions with customer needs and market demands
- Partner closely with your sales counterparts to improve the Commercial sales motion and playbooks and to build and maintain the culture of the Commercial org in North America
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to your team to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets
- Hire, develop, and retain talent within the Solutions Architecture team
What You'll Need
- Strong expertise in technical sales, sales, qualification, and forecasting methodologies, and the ability to translate technical concepts into business value
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A customer-centric approach, prioritizing client satisfaction and long-term relationships
- Experience in managing or mentoring team members, fostering their growth and development

Compensation
We offer competitive compensation packages commensurate with experience, including salary, equity, and where applicable, performance-based pay. Our Talent Acquisition Team can answer questions around dbt Lab’s total rewards during your interview process. In select locations (including Boston, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, New York City, San Francisco, Washington, DC, and Seattle), an alternate range may apply, as specified below.
The typical starting salary range for this role is:
$170,000 - $205,000 USD OTE
The typical starting salary range for this role in the select locations listed is:
$187,000 - $230,000 USD OTE
