Dev Technology Group is looking for a Technical Editor to support both Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and new development efforts for a federal government client. The ideal candidate will have excellent collaboration and communication skills, and the ability to manage complex work activities in a deadline-driven environment. What You'll Be Doing:
- Analyze requirements and work with technical resources to write compelling and compliant technical content, both independently and in collaboration with other team members.
- Work with technical SMEs, Solution Architects, and other team members to prepare draft storyboards and guidance material, and support recommended preferred approach or strategy
- Lead writing/developing technical approaches and solutions
- Participate in peer and team lead reviews and develop and refine comprehensive technical content based on feedback from reviewers
- Proof created content for compliance and accuracy with high attention to detail
- Organize and carry out multiple technical writing and ad hoc tasks simultaneously under tight/changing deadlines
- Translating complex information gathered into clear, concise, and persuasive content
- Compiling, organizing, and maintaining content in project-approved repositories
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Technical Writing or other related disciplines.
- 3+ years’ experience with technical writing (experience in federal government preferred)
- Experience and ability to develop content on technical practices such as DevSecOps, various Agile methodologies, tools, and systems etc.
- Experience working and collaborating with technical SME’s on understanding technical requirements to support the generation of a Concept of Operations (CONOPS)
- Confidence in interviewing Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and ability to transform technical details into legible easy-to-understand narratives
- Ability to analyze and understand complex technical topics
- Strong time management and organization skills with fine attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Proficient with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Microsoft SharePoint Online, and Adobe Acrobat
- Self-motivated, positive, and dynamic
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Strong research and analytical skills
