Instrumental in the success and retention of Dialpad customers, our Customer Success and Professional Services teams are the backbone of our company. Dialpad’s Professional Services development team plays an essential role in developing a robust layer of integrations that seamlessly connect Dialpad's products with external services, including CRMs, ticketing systems and workforce management platforms which are catered to customer’s specific needs. Team works very closely with the customer, 3rd party platform and Dialpad core platform to provide custom solutions.

 

Using your problem-solving skills, creative development abilities and inherent motivation to help others, you will delight and assist our customers from their first call to their last (if there is one!)

 

What you’ll do

 

Your role

As a FullStack Software Engineer in the Professional Service team, you will architect, develop, and maintain PS applications using modern full-stack technologies including Python, Vue.js & GCP. You will work closely with customers, Dialpad Developer platform team and 3rd party solutions to understand integration use cases and develop custom solutions.




In your first 30 days: 

  • You’ll work closely with the your manager as well as the rest of the Professional Services team to learn about Dialpad as a company and also the Dialpad product offerings 
  • You’ll start to network with teams you will be working closely with such as Engineering, Customer Success, and Support 
  • You’ll work with the enablement team as they walk through your onboarding classes; these classes will be an introduction to the JR Developer role and the Professional Services team 
  • You’ll set up development environment on your local and understand the different integration platform
  • Learn about DialApp framework, GCP Project set up and CI-CD pipeline used Dialpad

In your first 60 days: 

  • You’ll begin to shadow your team mates calls to get a good grasp of the Dialpad’s API and integration process
  • You’ll learn the Dialpad deployment methodology and the various tools you will be using to assist our customers with customer integration
  • You’ll learn how to assist Dialpad’s customer’s integration needs
  • Learn how to conduct discovery calls, testing solutions and the Dialpad DIgital engagement product.

 

By 90 days: 

  • Conducting client discovery calls with Sales Representatives.
  • Meeting with clients to discuss their software integration needs.
  • Strategizing with the professional services team to create customized solutions.
  • Drafting and delivering presentations on targeted products.
  • Designing and installing customized software solutions for the client.
  • Testing the performance of the installed solution and fixing bugs.
  • Providing post-installation follow-ups.
  • Developing relationships and maintaining client relations.
  • Write clear and complete architectural design documents which are easily understood by other team members.
  • Provide estimates on technical resources and requirements necessary to plan and begin projects.
  • Develop well-tested features with appropriate test hooks resulting in low defect reports and faster engineering throughput.
  • You’ll create tools/ scripts that will monitor our Integration instances, which will alert us of problems that may be caused by API usage/ resources getting hogged by Integrations
  • Give larger-scale internal demos on new applications that you have completed 
  • Develop and maintain Dialpad’s Integration applications using modern technologies.
  • Write clean, modular, and maintainable code using best practices along with unit tests.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability.

 

Who you are:

 

You're a customer centric, development minded person who has a deep comprehension of technology and developing integration solutions using Rest APIs. You really enjoy technical challenges that come with onboarding new clients. You enjoy having a voice and being a team player. 

 

Skills you will bring

  • 6+ years experience in Full-stack software engineering 
  • Strong experience in backend and front-end development, also preferably experience in any of the major cloud platforms ( GCP, AWS, Azure…)
  • Expert in at least one of the modern Backend & Frontend programming languages e.g. Python, Java, node.js, React, Vue.js, typescript
  • Strong experience Integrating with SaaS platforms using APIs.
  • Experience with building reusable and modular components for both the frontend and backend.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and mentorship skills
    • Nice to have: Technical Leadership skills

    • Understanding of authentication between SaaS platforms.
