Position Overview
Diligent is looking for a Product Designer to support UX/UI design within our fast-moving product design team. As part of the broader UX department, you’ll contribute to a wide range of initiatives - balancing forward-looking exploration with hands-on design support that extends beyond traditional product roadmaps. At Diligent, design is bold and thoughtful, shaping products trusted by leaders worldwide. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn complex challenges into simple, elegant solutions, while developing your craft and helping to shape the future direction of our products.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Product Design Lead to ensure design work meets requirements and quality standards.
- Contribute to the design process from early concepts through high-fidelity visuals and developer-ready specifications, with support from senior designers.
- Collaborate with fellow designers, product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Present and explain design decisions, showing understanding of user needs, design best practices, and business goals.
- Support user research activities (planning, note-taking, synthesis) and apply insights in design work.
- Explore and apply AI-powered tools (e.g., for prototyping, copy, or research support) to improve workflows and output.
- Contribute to a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Required Experience / Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience in UX or product design.
- Solid foundation in UX principles with strong visual design skills.
- Exposure to SaaS products, ideally in B2B or enterprise contexts.
- Familiarity with product design cycles - from early exploration to launch.
- Proficiency in modern design tools (Figma preferred).
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience designing for web and mobile platforms.
- Familiarity with working with design systems to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Portfolio showcasing design work across the product lifecycle.
- Awareness of AI tools in design (e.g., AI-generated visuals, text, or research aids) and interest in developing skills further.
- Bonus: coding knowledge (HTML/CSS/React), motion design, or data visualization skills.
