We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead and empower our engineering teams in delivering world-class software solutions. In this role, you will inspire, mentor, and coach agile delivery teams to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes that advance Diligent’s mission to redefine the way organizations are governed.

The ideal candidate is a proven technical leader with a track record of building high-performing teams, driving innovation, and delivering meaningful customer value. You should have a strong technical foundation, be comfortable using AI-powered engineering tools to accelerate delivery and excel at setting measurable goals for both teams and individuals.

We’re looking for someone who is proactive, forward-thinking, and passionate about leveraging AI to improve developer productivity and software quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive Diligent’s technology vision with a focus on engineering excellence, execution, and continuous improvement.
• Champion the use of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude AI, Cursor AI) to improve coding efficiency, documentation, and architectural decision-making.
• Partner with developers, architects, and product teams to optimize platform and product delivery.
• Lead complex technical and strategic initiatives across engineering, product, and customer teams.
• Integrate emerging technologies, automation, and AI into engineering practices to meet evolving business objectives.
• Shape and evolve the internal developer experience, introducing modern AI-driven tools and workflows.
• Build a coaching culture that values learning, experimentation, and innovation.
• Foster a collaborative and transparent team environment, encouraging open communication and continuous feedback.

Required Experience & Skills

• 5+ years of experience managing software engineering teams.
• Proven experience leading agile teams in delivering scalable, high-quality software.
• Hands-on technical background with expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, architecture patterns, and modern engineering practices.
• Experience using or managing teams that leverage AI-assisted coding and productivity tools such as:
• GitHub Copilot for intelligent code completion and documentation.
• Claude AI for advanced problem-solving, architectural review, and summarization.
• Cursor AI for code navigation, debugging, and rapid prototyping.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
• Advocates for the Voice of the Customer, ensuring user needs guide technical decisions.
• Adaptable, agile, and resilient in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
