Senior Data Scientist

American Fork, Utah

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Domo's AI and Data Products Platform lets people channel AI and data into innovative uses that deliver a measurable impact. Anyone can use Domo to prepare, analyze, visualize, automate, and build data products that are amplified by AI.

Position Summary

This role is required to be in office 5 days a week.

We are looking for a mid to senior level data scientist. Data Scientists at Domo are client-facing experts who work with Domo’s strategic clients to develop custom production data science solutions that address and improve business challenges. Domo Data Scientists also work closely with Domo’s Product Team to inform and develop data science products that accelerate Domo use and adoption. This role requires data scientists to understand and demonstrate competence in four knowledge domains: data engineering, model building, customer and initiative management, and problem solving. These four domains apply to all aspects of building production data science, machine learning, and AI pipelines in Domo—including use case discovery, ROI estimation and tracking, data ingestion, data preparation and cleaning, feature engineering, modeling, training, productionizing, and building out technical and end-user dashboards.

Time is balanced between calls and on-site interactions with Domo clients, with independent time allocated to informing and building data science products and solutions. Furthermore, Data Scientists on this team are teachers and trainers, with a firm emphasis on evangelizing data science best practices and enabling customers to understand and own their Domo data science solutions.

Data Scientists at Domo are encouraged to pursue projects that enhance clients’ user experience and move forward the vision of data science at Domo. This can include contributing to the building of Domo data science products, designing and architecting apps, writing knowledge base articles, developing sales and marketing solutions, or contributing to Domo-sponsored published works.

At the senior level, data scientists are expected to demonstrate expert knowledge and industry respect and longevity in at least two of the four knowledge domains (data engineering, model building, customer and initiative management, and problem solving). Thought leadership and expertise for Senior-level data scientists can be evidenced through a cohesive body of work as is demonstrated in a portfolio of production DSML projects, publications, presentations, reports, patents, and other industry-relevant accomplishments.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
