People Experience Generalist

In recent years, Double Good has seen 40% year over year growth, and we’re excited about our future! We’re excited about the possibility of you joining our mission. We are looking for a People Experience Generalist to join our growing People Team.
The People Experience Generalist is responsible for supporting the People Team with a wide range of HR-related functions. This includes employee relations, performance management, compliance, training and development, and policy administration. The HR Generalist ensures a positive work environment, promotes organizational effectiveness, and maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Location - This role will be onsite, supporting our Elmhurst and Burr Ridge locations
About the role
Employee Relations:
- Act as a liaison between employees and leadership, addressing concerns or issues promptly and effectively.
- Assist in resolving workplace conflicts and promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Provide guidance to employees on HR policies, procedures, and employee benefits.
Performance Management:
- Support leaders in the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, conversations for growth, scorecards and feedback sessions.
- Assist in developing and maintaining performance improvement plans (PIPs) for employees as needed.
Training and Development:
- Coordinate employee training programs to enhance skills, improve performance, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Promote employee development opportunities, including career pathing, leadership training, and cross-functional collaboration.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, regulations, and employment standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including confidential personnel files.
- Assist with the preparation for audits and internal investigations.
HR Policy and Procedure Administration:
- Help develop, implement, and communicate HR policies and procedures.
- Stay current on best practices, emerging trends, and legal changes that impact HR policies and compliance.
Employee Engagement and Retention:
- Support employee engagement initiatives and contribute to the development of programs aimed at improving job satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct employee surveys and analyze results to identify areas for improvement.
Other HR Duties:
- Assist with other people experience projects as needed, and organizational development efforts.
Experience & Skills we value:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in human resources, preferably in a generalist role.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Solid understanding of HR practices, labor laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
