Corporate Affairs Senior Manager, Catalyst

Golin is hiring an experienced Senior Manager with strong corporate affairs expertise across external communication audiences and channels. Riding the wave of recognition and award-winning work, the Senior Manager has an incredible opportunity to work as day-to-day lead and provide and corporate communications counsel for a roster of historic and iconic global brands that helps promote and protect the brand in Chicago and keep Golin on top.

What You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field with 7+ years’ experience. Must have worked in an agency in a client-facing role and welcome in-house corporate communications background  
  • Experience in financial services a must
  • Passion for client service and an ability to juggle multiple projects and changing priorities
  • Proven ability to lead an integrated team and drive development of integrated ideas/business solutions
  • Background developing and executing corporate reputation programs, including corporate positioning, business media relations and executive communications
  • Ability to partner with team to execute and measure multifaceted creative PR campaigns and day-to-day communications initiatives
  • Experience managing influencer programs, including identifying and vetting, project managing and reviewing content
  • A strong understanding of traditional media, and ability to integrate campaign strategies and tactics across earned, owned and paid media
  • Superior writing skills to creatively problem-solve and tell captivating stories, with the ability to develop and edit high-quality materials
  • Ability to stay poised and calm under pressure and a desire to immerse yourself in a client's business to become a true partner
  • A willingness to foster a strong, diverse and inclusive workplace culture and advocate for and contribute to efforts that enhance the environment for all 
  • Ability to identify and drive opportunity for growth with existing clients and participate in new business pitches with strategy, creative counsel and presentation support

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the day-to-day account management of corporate clients, ensuring integrated teams (traditional media, social media, creative, analytics) provide a high standard of client service
  • Maintain a big-picture strategic view of client business and help to develop programs that support client business goals
  • Help to lead account planning, reporting, budgets, resource management and client satisfaction/feedback
  • Develop integrated communication strategies and tactics
  • PR Campaign management to ensure operational excellence (oversee the project management from creative concepting to execution, delegating work to account associate as needed, coordinated integrated earned and social media specialist teams)
  • Influencer program management (administrative and contract management of influencers, coordination with creative/influencer specialist team on execution)
  • Provide outstanding client counsel to all client levels on a regular basis, thriving in a hands-on, collaborative environment
  • Provide effective counsel (written and verbal), manage expectations against results, troubleshoot and be proactive in identifying industry trends, challenges and opportunities, and ensure flawless execution of day-to-day client activities
  • Write, review and edit client deliverables
  • Responsible to oversee billability and client profitability
