Junior Criminal Analyst

Dynamis is seeking a Junior Criminal Analyst to provide analytical and operational support to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Worksite Enforcement Unit (WSEU). Operating within an embedded team environment alongside HSI special agents, the Junior Criminal Analyst assists in the systematic examination of employment documents, business records, and government data indices in direct support of national and international worksite enforcement investigative programs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist senior investigators and team leads in reviewing and analyzing employer I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification forms, payroll records, corporate filings, and other employment-related documentation for compliance with federal immigration employment statutes.
- Support the review and cross-referencing of data from government computer indices to identify anomalies, patterns, or discrepancies relevant to active or developing investigations.
- Contribute to the preparation of case summaries, analytical reports, and findings documentation in support of worksite enforcement investigative efforts.
- Participate in liaison activities supporting national and international investigative programs and initiatives
- Maintain accurate and organized case files and records in compliance with DHS/ICE data handling and privacy protocols, assisting in the identification of potential violations of federal employment eligibility and worksite compliance laws
- Support senior staff in preparing materials for briefings, site visits, or enforcement actions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, business administration, public administration, law, or a closely related field.
- One to two years of relevant professional experience in compliance, investigations, legal support, immigration services, or a related discipline is required.
- Candidates must possess strong analytical and research skills with demonstrated ability to review and synthesize large volumes of documentation and data.
- Effective written and oral communication skills are essential, as the position requires preparation of written analytical products and regular coordination with federal law enforcement personnel.
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a ICE suitability determination
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred:
- Experience working with federal law enforcement or regulatory agencies is highly desirable. Familiarity with employment eligibility verification requirements, including Form I-9 compliance and E-Verify, is a strong plus.
- Prior exposure to HSI, ICE, or other DHS component operations, as well as experience handling sensitive or law enforcement-controlled data, is preferred.
- Proficiency with government database systems or investigative case management platforms is advantageous.
