In the Data team, we turn information into intelligence. We model, organize, and analyze data to generate strategic insights that drive decision-making across EBANX. We're naturally curious and guided by evidence.
Your day-to-day impact:
- Ensuring the quality, reliability, and availability of data in large-scale systems;
- Developing and maintaining robust, fault-tolerant data pipelines;
- Implementing and improving monitoring and alerting systems to detect issues in real time;
- Building and maintaining backup, recovery, and automation solutions to enhance data reliability;
- Investigating and resolving data quality issues, such as inconsistencies and duplicates;
- Collaborating with teams from different departments, including Engineering, Data Science, and Operations, to ensure efficient use of data;
- Defining and monitoring data reliability metrics, like SLAs and SLOs, to maintain high standards;
Must-haves to shine in this role:
- Experience with developing data pipelines or automating data-related tasks;
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala;
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., BigQuery, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch);
- Practical experience with data services in at least one Cloud platform: AWS or GCP;
- Familiarity with data quality concepts;
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team;
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow);
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform);
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch);
- Understanding of basic SRE principles applied to data;
- Experience with deploying and monitoring cloud infrastructure
