Echodyne is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer to join our fast-growing team.

Echodyne is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer to develop, implement, and optimize test systems and procedures that ensure product quality and production efficiency. This role is critical in planning, executing, and continuously improving the evaluation of new and existing test processes.

This position is best suited for someone who is detail-oriented, passionate about technology, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Working closely with engineering, quality, IT, and production teams, the Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer will drive efficiency, improve process robustness, and support automation initiatives that scale Echodyne’s manufacturing capabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, implement, and maintain test hardware and software for the production line.
  • Support test systems throughout the full lifecycle of development, implementation, scaling, and refinement
  • Work with manufacturing engineers, technicians, quality, design engineers, and IT to integrate and support test systems.
  • Plan and execute evaluations of new or updated test processes to ensure accuracy, repeatability, and compliance with requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze test data to drive continuous improvement in yield, throughput, and quality.
  • Create documentation and provide training to production staff on test procedures and tools.
  • Work with contract manufacturer partners to create, implement, and support PCBA testing.
  • Optimize test strategy for efficacy, efficiency and ROI.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Proficiency with RF/microwave measurement methods and instruments (e.g., VNA/PNA, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters), with the ability to learn and adapt to advanced RF/microwave technologies.
  • Programming proficiency in Python (MATLAB familiarity a plus)
  • Ability to design and deploy complete automated test systems.
  • Ability to interpret and apply assembly drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of computer/instrument interface protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving and process development skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize resources and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Effective oral, written, and presentation communication skills.

DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

In this role, you will build many of the skills listed below. Previous experience in one or more of these areas is preferred but not required.) 

  • Provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) input and influence during product development.
  • Experience with SolidWorks, Altium and/or other industry CAD tools.
  • Ability to work with 3D printers for prototyping, tooling, and production support.
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Proficiency in statistical techniques and analytical problem-solving.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships across teams and with external partners.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in electrical, electronic, test engineering or related technical discipline, with
  • 5 or more years of experience in a Test Engineering or similar environment.

The pay range for this position is $121,100 - $155,000 annually.
