About the role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Counsel to join our team. As the company's senior legal advisor, you will be responsible for setting and leading the legal strategy across all aspects of our business. This is a critical role that combines hands-on legal work with strategic counsel to executive leadership.

What you will do:

Commercial Contracts

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including SaaS, vendor, partnership, procurement, and NDAs, with a primary focus on Israel and U.S.-based contracts
  • Serve as the lead on commercial legal matters for Israel and U.S. operations, ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state regulations
  • Develop and maintain scalable contract templates, playbooks, and approval workflows to support the company’s business needs across jurisdictions

Employment & Labor

  • Provide legal guidance on employment and labor law matters in Israel and the U.S., including hiring, performance management, terminations, compensation, employee classification, and workplace policies
  • Advise on global employment issues in coordination with local counsel, ensuring alignment with local laws and company values
  • Partner closely with the HR team to support employee relations, internal investigations, and workplace compliance initiatives across the organization

Corporate Governance

  • Advise the Board and executive team on governance best practices
  • Draft, review, and maintain corporate records and board resolutions
  • Manage shareholder matters and company secretarial obligations

Regulatory & Compliance

  • Ensure the company complies with applicable laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions
  • Oversee data privacy policies and regulatory risk assessments (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA, etc.)

Intellectual Property

  • Manage IP strategy including trademarks, copyrights, patents, and licensing
  • Coordinate with external counsel on IP registration and protection

Risk Management & Litigation

  • Identify legal risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies
  • Manage litigation, disputes, and relationships with outside counsel as needed

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Law degree and active license to practice in a relevant jurisdiction
  • 8+ years of experience, including both law firm and in-house roles (startup or tech company preferred)
  • Demonstrate expertise across multiple legal areas, including [Commercial Contracts, Employment Law, Data Privacy, etc.]
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage legal matters from strategy to execution.
  • Strong business acumen, excellent communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Fluent in English (native or near-native level). Additional languages are a plus

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in a fast-growing global tech/startup environment
  • Familiarity with public company readiness or M&A activity
  • Understanding of legal operations and the use of legal tech tools

The base salary range is $218,800-$274,000/year. The base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
