Vice President, Labor Union & Trusts Sales
As the VP, Sales – Labor Union and Trust at Lantern, you will drive growth by establishing and expanding relationships with labor unions and Taft-Hartley Trusts. Leveraging your deep understanding of these unique organizations, you will identify opportunities and deliver tailored solutions that address their specific needs.
Your expertise in working with union leadership and trust administrators will be critical to success, guiding Lantern’s engagement with these key stakeholders. You will own the full sales cycle—from opportunity creation and pipeline development to contract negotiation—ensuring that Lantern’s value proposition resonates with labor unions and trust organizations.
You will collaborate with internal teams such as Consultant Relations, Account Management, and Provider Network Development to ensure strategic alignment, effective execution, and the fulfillment of client objectives.
A key aspect of your role will be to represent Lantern at industry events, conferences, and union meetings, generating awareness and excitement for our market-leading solutions. Your ability to engage with stakeholders at these events will help build Lantern’s brand presence and drive new business opportunities.
Location: Remote | USA | Travel Required to labor union and trust fund locations, industry events, and regular visits to our Dallas, TX headquarters.
Responsibilities:
- Build and nurture relationships with labor unions and Taft-Hartley Trusts, becoming a trusted partner and advisor.
- Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy to grow Lantern’s presence within labor unions and trust funds.
- Negotiate contracts and manage complex sales processes with union leadership and trust administrators.
- Conduct market research to identify key opportunities and ensure Lantern’s solutions align with the unique needs of labor unions and trusts.
- Lead effective presentations and discussions to educate stakeholders on Lantern’s competitive advantages and value propositions.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Consultant Relations and Provider Network Development, to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Foster a collaborative and solution-driven culture in your team that encourages accountability, innovation, and problem-solving.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of professional experience in sales, with significant experience working with labor unions and Taft-Hartley Trusts.
- Proven success in developing and closing complex sales deals with union and trust organizations.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to union leaders and trust stakeholders.
- Strong experience in managing long-term relationships and addressing the needs of labor organizations.
- Proficiency in navigating multifaceted sales processes, including contract negotiation and stakeholder management.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.
- Experience in the healthcare or benefits space is highly preferred, especially related to unionized environments.
