Senior Manager - Paint & Body

Your Role:
As the Senior Manager - Paint & Body, you’ll be working with some of the industry’s brightest minds to:
- Take full P&L responsibility for Paint and Body at the Hanford MFG site
- Develop the strategic plan and KPI’s for each area of responsibility
- People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost
- Responsible for meeting budget requirements and initiating cost improvements
- Develop training programs for all Manager and above employees
- Ensure the roles and tasks given to workers are clear and understandable
- Clear tasks and roles
- Development of staff
- Recruit, hire and train the required Salary resources for the departments
- Develop Quality and robust processes to deliver FF products.
- Implement Standardized methods and processes using visual management
- Implement rapid identification of problems and practical problem solving
- Stable processes / Products & Preventive quality management
- Customer orientation (in house & external)
- Create a culture and drive Continuous Improvement to continuously eliminate waste
- Develop and maintain Paint Shop procedures to support the goals of the organization
- Oversee progress of Paint Shop projects and initiatives to successful completion
- Implement and track Capital Spending Projects
- Provide effective leadership and guidance that encourages world class quality, CIP and LM
- Collaborate with Plant to develop and support short and long-term strategies for Plant performance.
- Have opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and/or pursue advancement in our global organization.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Business or manufacturing related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience working in Automotive Assembly Plants
- Detailed understanding of automotive Paint Application Processes (Ecoat, BC, CC)
- Experience with paint automotive equipment suppliers (Durr, Gallagher Kaiser, Giffin)
- Experience working with automotive paint suppliers (Dupont, BASF, or PPG)
- Detailed knowledge of automotive Body construction processes including welding, SPR’s, adhesive application and the welding of dissimilar metals
- Experience working with Body tooling integrators, robot suppliers, weld controller supplier etc.
- Experience in managing equipment installation timelines and equipment buyoff process
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing with focus on production systems and processes.
- Strong Project Management skills
- Experience in new product development and launch activities.
- Strong analytic problem-solving skills.

- A penchant for multi-tasking and self-starting
- A genuine fascination for the manufacturing field and a commitment to global change
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven expertise with start-up operations and automotive assembly
- A diverse skillset including leadership, communication, problem solving, emotional intelligence, active listening, decision making, motivator (self and others)
- A wide range of experience with process design and validation, line balancing, MES, automation, training and certification
- A true sense of determination… and hopefully a sense of humor
Annual Salary Range:
($140K - $180K DOE), plus benefits and incentive plans
