Your Role:

 

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of E-commerce Operations & Sales to report directly to the executive leadership team. This role will lead the overall growth strategy, daily operations, and commercial performance of our digital commerce business across Amazon and Shopify, while building a scalable global e-commerce operating model.

As a key commercial leader, you will own marketplace and DTC channel performance, optimize the full online sales funnel, and drive revenue growth through data-driven decision-making, cross-functional collaboration, and customer-centric execution. This role is critical to expanding FF’s online business, strengthening digital brand presence, and delivering best-in-class e-commerce experiences.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. E-commerce Strategy & Channel Growth
  • Develop and lead the overall e-commerce growth strategy for Amazon and Shopify, including sales planning, channel positioning, pricing architecture, and promotion strategy.
  • Own channel revenue targets, sales forecasting, and growth roadmaps, ensuring sustainable and profitable expansion across marketplace and DTC businesses.
  • Identify new opportunities to scale digital sales through assortment strategy, customer segmentation, lifecycle planning, and performance optimization.
  1. Amazon & Shopify Store Operations
  • Oversee end-to-end operations of Amazon Seller/Vendor Central and Shopify storefronts, including product listings, merchandising, catalog setup, promotions, order flow, and customer experience.
  • Ensure best-in-class content execution across product pages, including SEO, A+ content, brand stores, landing pages, and conversion-focused merchandising.
  • Lead platform optimization initiatives to improve traffic, conversion rate, average order value, repeat purchase rate, and customer retention.
  1. Sales Performance & Commercial Execution
  • Build and execute promotional calendars across Amazon and Shopify, including seasonal campaigns, product launches, paid traffic activations, and retention programs.
  • Partner with marketing teams to drive high-quality traffic through performance media, CRM/email, affiliate, influencer, and content channels.
  • Monitor competitive pricing, market dynamics, and consumer demand trends to adjust commercial strategy and maximize sales performance.
  1. Data Analytics & Business Optimization
  • Own the core e-commerce KPIs, including GMV, net sales, conversion rate, traffic, ROAS, CAC, AOV, repeat purchase rate, contribution margin, and inventory turnover.
  • Translate business data into actionable insights and lead continuous optimization across product mix, pricing, promotions, and funnel performance.
  • Build dashboards, performance reporting routines, and business reviews for executive leadership to support fast, informed decision-making.
  1. Cross-functional Collaboration & Operational Excellence
  • Work closely with product, brand, supply chain, logistics, customer service, finance, and technology teams to ensure seamless execution across all e-commerce touchpoints.
  • Coordinate inventory planning and fulfillment readiness to support launches, campaigns, and ongoing sales growth while minimizing stockouts and aged inventory.
  • Improve operational processes, systems, and workflows to create a scalable e-commerce infrastructure for future business growth.
  1. Team Leadership & Capability Building
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing e-commerce team across operations, sales, merchandising, and channel management functions.
  • Establish clear business goals, accountability mechanisms, and performance standards for channel teams and agency/vendor partners.
  • Foster a culture of agility, ownership, and data-driven execution in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, Supply Chain, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience in e-commerce, digital commerce, online sales, or marketplace operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Platform Expertise: Deep hands-on experience managing Amazon (Seller Central and/or Vendor Central) and Shopify/Shopify Plus businesses at scale.
  • Commercial Track Record: Proven success in driving online sales growth, improving conversion, scaling digital channels, and managing full-funnel e-commerce performance. 
  • Operational Strength: Strong understanding of e-commerce operations, including catalog management, merchandising, pricing, promotions, fulfillment coordination, and customer experience.
  • Analytical Capability: Highly data-driven with strong command of performance metrics, business analysis, forecasting, and ROI optimization.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in consumer electronics, automotive, lifestyle, luxury, or technology-driven products. 
  • Strong understanding of Amazon advertising, marketplace algorithms, DTC growth strategy, and customer acquisition/retention models. 
  • Experience with Shopify apps/ecosystem, conversion rate optimization, UX merchandising, and subscription/CRM programs. 
  • Familiarity with e-commerce analytics and reporting tools such as Google Analytics, Amazon Brand Analytics, Helium 10, Jungle Scout, Looker, Tableau, or similar platforms. 
  • Experience managing third-party agencies, marketplace partners, and digital vendors.
  • Global market exposure, especially experience supporting e-commerce growth in both U.S. and international markets. 
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build new channels, test quickly, and scale winning strategies.
