Role Overview:
As an Associate Technical Program Manager at Fictiv, you will manage a diverse range of high mix/low volume projects, collaborating closely with our manufacturing partners in India. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with 5-7 years of experience, particularly those who are ready to take on more responsibility in project management within a manufacturing context. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that customer requirements are met efficiently and effectively, all while maintaining a keen focus on scope, budget, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead projects from start to finish, ensuring they meet customer specifications, stay within budget, and are delivered on time.
- Risk Mitigation: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring smooth and timely project delivery.
- Work Order Assignment: Oversee the scheduling and distribution of manufacturing work orders to ensure timely production and fulfillment.
- Production Support: Act as a key point of contact for technical inquiries from manufacturing partners, ensuring the smooth production of assigned parts.
- Change Order Management: Manage and implement change requests post-sale, balancing customer needs with project risks.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve workflows and systems used by the Technical Program Management team.
- Communication: Maintain proactive communication with all stakeholders to identify challenges, propose solutions, and enhance overall efficiency.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
- Experience: 5-7 years of relevant work experience, with at least 2 years in a project management role within hardware/manufacturing as an OEM or contract manufacturer.
- Manufacturing Expertise: Knowledge in at least three of the following areas is required:
- CNC Machining (MUST)
- Die Casting (Preferred)
- Sheet Metal Fabrication (Preferred)
- 3DP Printing (Preferred)
- Skills:
- Strong project management skills, including scope, timing, and quality management.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with proficiency in English.
- Experience with low volume piece part and proto builds is preferred.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a strong ability to document processes.
- A problem-solving mindset with a focus on results.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and align project requirements.
- Adaptable and resilient, capable of thriving in an environment with evolving processes.
- Work Location: This position will work on-site from our office in Bengaluru, India.
