The job
We’re hiring a Senior Payroll Accountant to own end‑to‑end payroll across our Group and entities (including remote employees and full‑time contractors). You’ll reconcile payroll calculations, payments, and reports; prepare and post payroll and benefits journal entries to the accounting system; and act as the main point of contact for HR/PeopleOps, payroll vendors, and external consultants. A high level of confidentiality with sensitive employee data is essential.
Core, group‑wide responsibilities
- Process accurate and timely payroll for over 500 employees across multiple countries, including Lithuania, the UK, the Netherlands and the US, as well as for remote workers.
- Act as the main liaison with third-party payroll providers and benefits platforms to ensure payrolls are processed accurately, on time, and in full compliance with local labour and tax legislation.
- Collaborate closely with HR/PeopleOps teams to ensure seamless payroll delivery.
- Prepare and post payroll-related journal entries (including salaries, taxes, pensions, benefits, bonuses, advances, and accruals) within the NetSuite accounting system.
- Perform monthly payroll reconciliations, ensuring data accuracy and consistency between HR, payroll, and accounting records.
- Maintain robust payroll controls, documentation, and complete audit trails to support compliance and audits.
- Manage monthly and annual payroll reporting, including statutory submissions such as P11D/PSA in the UK, SODRA/VMI reports in Lithuania, etc.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all escalated payroll inquiries and correspondence, providing timely, professional, and confidential responses to employee payroll and tax questions.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of statutory payments, including taxes, pensions, and social contributions across all jurisdictions.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes affecting payroll, tax, and social contributions in all operating countries, and implement updated processes to ensure continued compliance.
- Deliver accurate payroll reports/reconciliations to meet financial, compliance, and statutory requirements, and support external audit requests or other payroll-related regulatory projects.
- Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging automation and system enhancements to streamline payroll operations and increase efficiency.
What you’ll bring
- 3+ years of hands‑on, multi‑country payroll accounting experience; strong grasp of payroll compliance in at least two of: Lithuania, the UK, the Netherlands, the US and Cyprus.
- Proven ownership of vendor‑managed payrolls and cross‑functional partnership with HR/PeopleOps.
- Solid GL knowledge and reconciliations experience; able to prepare payroll/benefits JE’s end‑to‑end.
- Strong spreadsheet skills (Excel/Google Sheets); high attention to detail and deadlines.
- Working knowledge of tools such as NetSuite (or similar ERP), ADP, BSS, and an HRIS (e.g., HiBob).
- Clear, professional English communication; ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Nice to have
- Experience with UK and Lithuania tax compliance (P11D/PSA, VMI & SODRA reporting).
- Process‑building/automation mindset and comfort working with distributed teams.

Salary Range - gross per month (ranges may vary based on skills and experience)
€3.400 - €5.800 EUR
