Flight Itinerary (About The Role)

We are looking for an experienced Program Director that will sit at the helm of a complex and expansive enterprise software development initiative. 

The role encompasses strategic leadership, project oversight, and cross-functional alignment to ensure the successful and timely execution of the program. 

This role supports driving alignment between each work stream, managing resources, mitigating risks, and maintaining a clear communication channel with stakeholders at all levels. Managing client expectations through frequent communication and data driven reporting are critical to success in this role. Experience in technical, functional, managerial, and client management domains will prove important in directing the program to a successful and timely conclusion.

What Your Journey Will Look Like (Responsibilities)

  • Oversee all aspects of managing a complex program including coordination with the client, 3rd parties, and internal FLYR stakeholders, as well as ensuring timely execution against detailed implementation plans.
  • Ensure successful delivery against milestones, applying change, risk, and resource management principles when needed.
  • Ensure the quality and effectiveness of the program, measuring and reporting on key performance indicators and making improvements as needed.
  • Directly engage with our airline customers’ executives, subject matter experts and business leads. Manage the day-to-day relationships with our airline customers to understand their data, systems, and business processes.
  • Supervise teams of delivery managers, project managers, and business analysts.
  • Report detailed status updates to leadership and executive teams.
  • Work with leadership to set strategic goals and objectives for programs.
  • Manage both technical and relationship escalations from client onboarding phase, ensuring appropriate client communications and internal FLYR stakeholder involvement.
  • Provide processes for monitoring performance and collaborating with program teams to determine ways to improve.
  • Work with Product and Engineering leadership to define product capabilities to improve customer onboarding.

What To Pack For This Trip (Qualifications)

  • Proven track record as a successful program director and/or program manager of a complex IT project within the commercial airline industry; Knowledge of current program management methods and best practices including ability to clearly communicate status, blockers, risks and dependencies to FLYR and customer stakeholders:
  • Experience partnering with engineering teams.
  • Experience managing teams and budgets.
  • Excellent executive reporting, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Experience with industry-standard project management software and tools.
  • Experienced in business process definition to map out repeatable processes.
  • Experience working with c-level and managing upper level stakeholders (steering committees, alignment sessions - both internal and external -, QBR/EBRs).

Optional Carry-On (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience with IATA NDC Offer & Order standards
  • Airline Commercial PSS implementation and/or migration experience
