Director, Branded Ventures

Forbes is seeking a dynamic professional to join the fast-growing Forbes Branded Ventures team as Director, Forbes Branded Ventures. In this role, the Director will be responsible for the day-to-day management of some of the Forbes ventures and branded licensing partners as well as exploring new venture opportunities. This position will report to the President of Forbes Licensing and Branded Ventures and work closely with our legal, finance, editorial and marketing and sales teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage existing Forbes licensed and venture business, leveraging Forbes resources to grow the ventures’ customer base and business
  • Develop strategy to broaden and grow the Forbes venture business, particularly in the media, community and professional services sectors
  • Proactively pursue, develop and evaluate opportunities in expanding Forbes presence globally and key vertical sectors including developing strategy and business case for new ventures
  • Collaborate and work with Forbes’ internal and external legal teams to review, update, and amend existing licensing contracts based on business objectives and legal approvals
  • Collaborate and work with Forbes’ finance team to develop reports and schedules for licensee billing

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or digital marketing; master’s degree preferred
  • 8-10 years of digital marketing and business development experience required, preferably in the media industry
  • Ability to work independently, and most important the ability to think strategically and develop a business plan
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated with ability to initiative and create new projects

The annual base salary range for this role is $150,000 - $150,000.

Forbes has estimated the compensation range set forth above in good faith.  The compensation range is what we believe we will offer, and ultimately pay, a successful candidate.  In determining this range, we consider the experience, level of education (if applicable to the role), knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be had by a successful candidate as well as the budget and the company’s pay rates, generally.
