Compensation Range: $85.00 - $100.00 per hour, W2 only
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst Consultant with deep expertise in the insurance industry to inform and shape
skills training requirements for Business Analyst roles. This consultant will analyze job functions and provide recommendations
for training programs tailored to the needs of business analysts at varying levels.
Key Responsibilities
● Conduct a thorough analysis of existing business analyst job roles within the insurance industry, focusing on business
systems analysis and reporting functions.
● Collaborate with stakeholders, including HR, hiring managers, and senior business analysts, to identify critical skills,
competencies, and industry-specific knowledge gaps.
● Evaluate current training programs and recommend enhancements or new learning pathways aligned with best practices
in business analysis, Agile methodologies, data analytics, and insurance technology.
● Develop a framework for structured learning programs, including curriculum recommendations, learning outcomes,
and suggested training delivery formats (e.g., instructor-led, e-learning, hands-on labs).
● Identify tools, technologies, and methodologies (e.g., SQL, Power BI, SAP, Agile frameworks) that should be
incorporated into training to ensure analysts are prepared for real-world applications.
● Provide insights on industry trends, compliance considerations, and evolving skill demands in the insurance sector.
● Support the design of upskilling and reskilling initiatives for business analysts transitioning from other roles within the
organization.
● Create assessment criteria to measure training effectiveness and knowledge retention.
Qualifications
● 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Consultant in the insurance or financial services industry.
● Proven experience developing or advising on training programs for business analysis, data analytics, or business
intelligence functions.
● Deep understanding of insurance processes, regulatory requirements, and financial reporting in an enterprise
environment.
● Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies, including Agile, SQL, Power BI, and process modeling.
● Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to translate business needs into actionable training recommendations.
● Prior experience working with learning & development teams or corporate training initiatives is a plus.
● Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Experience
● Experience with cloud-based data analytics platforms (Databricks, Azure, AWS).
● UAT/User Acceptance Testing
● IIBA®- CBDA certification
● Understanding of SAP BW, SAP FICO, or financial systems used in insurance operations.

The anticipated hourly pay range for this role in the US market is $85.00 - $100.00/ hour. Compensation will be determined based on experience, education, and other factors.
