Position Summary
General Atlantic is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Senior Associate to join its Legal and Compliance team. This role reports directly to the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer and plays a key role in supporting the firm’s global compliance program.
The Compliance Senior Associate will focus primarily on reviewing marketing and investor-facing materials, supporting compliance policies and procedures in the United States and internationally, and contributing to broader compliance initiatives such as training, testing, and anti-money laundering oversight. The role offers meaningful exposure to regulatory matters and close collaboration with colleagues in New York City, Amsterdam, and Mumbai.

Responsibilities
- Support the firm’s global regulatory compliance framework
- Review and approve marketing and investor relations materials in line with applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Monitor and manage cross-border compliance matters related to investor outreach
- Oversee political contribution and state lobbying compliance requirements
- Draft, update, and maintain compliance policies and procedures
- Prepare and support delivery of compliance training materials and track training completion
- Assist with onboarding new employees and ensuring completion of compliance-related requirements
- Oversee anti-money laundering responsibilities for certain investment products
- Support testing, monitoring, and ongoing enhancement of the compliance program
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years of prior work experience in compliance, financial services, or as a paralegal in a law firm
- Experience reviewing marketing materials for a registered investment advisory firm or registered broker-dealer
- Experience with AI preferred
- Strong judgment and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work well with colleagues at all levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint
