What to Expect
Gotion’s Manufacturing Operations team is seeking an experienced and driven Lean/Six Sigma Specialist to work closely with our manufacturing teams to enhance operational efficiency at our Manteno, IL facility. The Lean/Six Sigma Specialist will initially focus on optimizing processes within battery module production and quickly scale efforts to support our expanding cell manufacturing operations. This role will also be responsible for identifying improvement opportunities, driving process enhancements, and executing continuous improvement initiatives to support the roadmap for operational excellence across all production lines.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and facilitate Lean and Six Sigma projects aimed at reducing waste, improving productivity, and optimizing manufacturing processes.
- Utilize DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) methodology to drive continuous improvement projects.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement across manufacturing operations.
- Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to streamline processes, reduce cycle time, and improve product quality.
- Develop, train, and mentor employees in Lean and Six Sigma principles and tools.
- Perform time studies, process mapping, and value stream analysis to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Implement and sustain 5S and other Lean tools such as Kaizen, and Kanban.
- Track and report project progress, savings, and other key metrics to leadership.
- Collaborate with all levels of the organization to foster a culture of continuous improvement and problem-solving.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, promoting a safe and productive work environment.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification.
- 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with a focus on Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proven track record of leading successful process improvement projects.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision making.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in process mapping software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $70k - $90k + 15% bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
