As a Security Engineer in Platform Security, you will:
- Develop and implement security processes to identify, evaluate, and mitigate security risks in our cloud infrastructure.
- Partner with Cloud Infra, Data, and Product Engineering teams to define and drive secure-by-default environments supporting product needs.
- Experiment with and develop AI-based tools to enable the Security team to move even faster.
- Define and monitor impactful metrics to guide the platform security program forward.
- Educate and mentor team members and developers on security best practices.
- Collaborate and build trust with different stakeholders to advise them on matters of security.
Qualifications
- Has 6+ years of experience securing cloud infrastructure at scale in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Proven experience automating secure infrastructure using Terraform (or similar IaC tooling).
- Experience with CI/CD infrastructure, containerization (Docker, K8s), and an understanding of the associated risks.
- Understanding of zero-trust and IAM principles for both human and non-human identities.
- Familiarity with software engineering or scripting in languages like Python, Java, or Go.
- The ability to think like an adversary to identify risk, and then build like an engineer to mitigate those risks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.

Grammarly takes a market-based approach to compensation, which means base pay may vary depending on your location. Our US locations are categorized into two compensation zones based on proximity to our hub locations.
Base pay may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The expected salary ranges for this position are outlined below by compensation zone and may be modified in the future.
