About the Role:

Symmetry is seeking a Office Coordinator who will serve as the face of our Scottsdale office and will be excited to dive into special projects. From the design and function of our office to the programs that drive meaningful community and connection, you will help create a happy and productive workplace for our rapidly growing team.  This is a hybrid role, with the expectation to be in-office Monday-Thursday with Fridays as needed. 

About the Team: 

You will be joining the Workplace Experience team. This is a distributed team that supports all of Gusto's physical office spaces. The team's mission is to foster community and connectedness through our programs, tools, and spaces. This team strives to create a best in class workplace. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Greet all employees and guests who come through the door
  • Answer and route telephone calls to Symmetry’s main line, as well as distribute and sort mail that is delivered to the Symmetry office
  • Manage office vendor contracts, schedules, services and relationships, including weekly catering
  • Support the build out of Symmetry’s Scottsdale office 
  • Lead, collaborate, and plan the setup and breakdown of community events & activities with the Symmetry Admin Team and Gusto’s Community & Inclusion Team
  • Implement and oversee processes for office inventory management
  • Keep an organized budget and and track receipts
  • Manage office purchasing for food & beverage and supplies
  • Act as the liaison between the office and building management for facilities repairs and adjustments
  • Keep office service resources and documents up to date
  • Organize the first day for Symmetry new hires by arranging a check-in tour and preparing their desk setup.
  • Support with Symmetry’s badging and security items, and work closely with our IT & Security Teams
  • Liaise with Gusto’s broader Environment team, connecting Symmetry to resources and opportunities and ensuring clear communication with our parent organization

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an office management or administrative support role in a startup or office environment of 50+ employees
  • Positive and energetic with a passion to drive the Symmetry values to unparalleled levels
  • Stay cool under pressure and are able to effectively prioritize tasks
  • Pay close attention to detail and follow through on tasks with a can-do attitude
  • Have strong problem solving skills and reasoning to solve administrative issues
  • Have a curiosity for people and enjoy creating an environment where people feel welcomed and comfortable

Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $59,000/yr to $71,000/yr in Scottsdale & most major metro locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.


Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale.

Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas. 

When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required.
